I did not have to have a c-section, thankfully! I just BARELY avoided it - I had been in labor so long and the baby was starting to tolerate it poorly, but since I was so insistent on not wanting one, they said "OK, you have 2 hours and if baby isn't here by then, we have no choice." Incredibly, baby came almost exactly 2 hours later (thanks to the glorious, wonderful magic of epidurals - something else I swore I didn't want but ended up begging for). ?

Nope, I go home tomorrow. I can't sleep here anyway because every 30 minutes somebody comes in and wakes me up, so here I am online. She's sleeping peacefully beside me.

I have this baby book and one of the pages has "What was going on in the news the day you were born." I haven't been able to bring myself to fill that one out yet. "World economy collapsing, country doomed...welcome!"
