Re: prenatal vitamins
I bet her FUPA's name is Shane, like the gunslinger/drifter of literature.--HappyTummy
I might give BFing more of a try next time, just for the fat sucking benefits.. Really. I'm THAT selfish.
I liked using formula, though. If you get generic target brand (after having to use that overpriced premie crap), it's like 14 bucks for a big can. and it is EASY-PEASY.
As another data point, I didn't lose all the baby weight until I stopped BF'ing/pumping.
I was on prenate dha while pregnant and didn't mind those. Only one pill, and it sat well with me. I took it at night, before going to bed.
Pink, my #1 reason for bfing before having Miles was to lose the baby weight without trying. Then the bfing didn't work, so I was forced to actually curb my eating.
I have no complaints about FF. Miles is growing and seemingly happy/healthy. Perhaps he's bigger than he would have been if he nursed, but there's no way to know that for sure. I will definitely try to bf again (and harder) with the next kid, mainly because I still have some lingering guilt from not doing more to make absolutely sure it wouldn't work.
That would be the sole reason I'd consider BFing.
BFing is easier to me. Especially first thing in the morning - pluck him out of his crib and bam, right on the boob. No trudging to the kitchen to make a bottle.
I lost my pg weight plus some, but am still squishy around the middle, I heard that may go away after you stop pumping/BF'ing.
I don't know, tasty. Strictly anecdotal, but I'm not really sure if I buy the whole anti-bodies thing in regards to BF.. Maybe initially, I definitely think colostrum is beneficial. But I only BF for 2-3 weeks, and N was never sick. And he came right smack in the middle of icky season. My co-worker, on the olther hand, was a BF nazi, and her kid was sick all year long. I think it just depends on the kid.
yes, but he is republican.
i lost all 34 pregnancy pounds in 2 weeks. i assume its from BF or maybe its karma paying it forward.
i take citranatal assure dha. it is prescription but with my plan it is cheaper to get prescription. i get 3 months worth for what i would pay for a month of store bought. and it has a dha with no fishy taste.
I lost the weight after I stopped breastfeeding. It did nothing for meeee.
And yeah take a vitamin. I did a little cocktail of extra folic acid, prenatal, and Omega & DHA. I had to get a kind prescribed by my midwives (they just gave me the samples) sort earlier that split it up into 2 pills because the morning sickness resulted in projectile pills every morning/night.
Fent, I was sporadic with my prenatals beforehand. And then I threw them up 75% of the time for the first 4 months. Whether or not Babypoo will be a mini version of sloth remains to be seen.
For less then ten cents a day, you can feed a hungry child.
did you continue to lose weight as time went on. i am hoping to continue dropping, especially now that i can exercise.
I hope I am one of the lucky ones that experiences the BFing weight loss miracle. I gained a ton of weight during the 2 yr IF crap so I started pregnancy a fat mess.
I take CitraNatal 90 with DHA and take it right before bed as well. It comes in this really annoying foil pack so I had to go out and get an old lay day of the week pill case so I only have to wrestle with the vitamins once a week.
Yep! I lost all the baby weight within the first 10 days and then continued to lose it over time. I would say I lost the first 5 pounds of non baby weight in October/November last year and then the rest since being back at work.
