  • Also, is it true that Canadians say "eh" all the time?  And "aboot" for about?  Or is SouthPark leading me in the wrong direction?  I've never met someone from Canada

  • bahahaha I say NEITHER of those things.  I don't think I've ever met anyone who has said "Aboot" and I have heard "eh?" but it's used at the end of a sentence, to make it a question, like "You like these boots, eh?"

  • I'm pretty sure that if I told someone that I was going to puck them in the face, they would probably think that I was going to hit them with a hockey puck

  • I'm pretty sure anyone, anywhere, would think that!  Except for in my very very very small hometown.

  • This is Sam.  I have never owned a cat and neither did HH. But he has ALWAYS wanted one.  We both came from dog loving families. We just aren't home enough for a dog. So i finally broke down and decided we would try a cat.  We found him on Craigs List, this poor woman was allergic and was giving him and all his stuff away for free, so we said why not.  Well we hit the jackpot. He is awesome!! He is so friendly and so much like a dog with the ease of a cat, I'm attached to him now. I love coming home to this adorable face at night.

Edit- everyone has such adorable furbabies!!!! i want to kiss each one of them.

That must be a regional thing, too, then. My family used to go on vacation in Canada every summer, and we definitely heard a lot of "ehs" and "aboots." :) It's crazy how accents and idioms vary so much from little area to little area! I swear that people who live just east of Pittsburgh have a little accent all our own.

  • Kelly, where did you vacay?  Was it in Ontario by any chance?
