S/O Cleaning Wedding Dress
How much did you pay to clean your wedding dress?
In case you guys don't remember I got my wedding dress for a song and a dance ($150) since the store was going out of business. I would hate to pay like $100 to get a $150 dress cleaned...but part of me thinks I might actually be able to make a profit off of selling it. Hmmmm....

These are the two companies I researched and then never got around to using:

Has anyone used either? (although it appears we're all slackers when it comes to cleaning wedding dresses..)
I would think that a local place in Alabama would be far cheaper. DH's sister's dress was cleaned by a local place in MS in 1999 (I saw the ticket still hanging on her dress) and it was around $50. Of course, it was 10 years ago.

I can't remember what your dress looks like - but I have heard that if it doesn't have a lot of beading on it - you should be able to place it in a pillowcase type thing - and wash on the gentle cycle using woolite.

Mine was really plain...zero beading, satin fabric. However, venturing out to a bar after the reception left me with a dress that is solid black on the bottom. I wonder if it is even possible to clean the nastiness out of it?
