I need a new dresser. After our move a couple months ago, my dress is literally falling apart. I've been to Banner Mattress and Target looking for a new dresser. I either didn't like them or were too expensive. What other stores in the Toledo area are there for bedroom furniture? Are there still places where you can buy unfinished and stain yourself? I may be making a road trip to the Sauder warehouse in Archbold.
Re: bedroom furniture stores
We went all the way to Cincinatti to go to Ikea to buy a dresser. Be careful, they are much heavier than they look!
Have you checked Craigs list? I was not too impressed with Value City last time I looked there.
Is there still a JCP furniture store up there?
You're going to get what you pay for w/furniture around here. Value City, JCP, Target, Elder Beerman, etc; it's all going to be pretty on the outside but quality is junk. I'd suggest hitting up estate sales/moving sales and try to find something decent for a good price. Bedroom furniture is used quite often, so you'll be glad that you got something better quality in the long run.
We don't own Ikea dressers, but have several bookcases/coffee tables/desk and they're all decent quality.
The Wood Furniture Store in Starlite Plaza is closing, maybe they have something left for you.
Oh, I'll have to check this out.
