Re: Because lynching is waaaay funnier

  • For a board that is supposed to be all tough and stuff, they sure got their panties in a twist quickly.
    image
  • Oh, Winged, I meant to go back and check on your comment to Floyd about her H flucking her kid up by ha ving sex with him in the bed but I forget what post it was in so I'll just say thank you for saying it because, putting all joking and mockery about her marriage aside, it's absolutely true. That stuff stays with a kid and if she doesn't get out NOW, she's setting him up for long-term damage.

  • I honestly do feel sorry for anyone going through something as bad as that. I don't know the details, but yowza. I am all for making light of difficult situaitons but that situation is just not funny in any sense. it was like coley joking in the kids locked in cars post.
  • Yeah, I've seen the aftermath. It's incredible what leaves an impression on kids, even if they're too young to really form memories.

  • It seems as though Floyd doesn't understand the definition of "shunning."

My AP friend would tell me, about the humping with kids nearby thing, that when humans lived in tribes and slept in caves or teepees or whatever, that parents copulated with kids in the same "room" all the time.  So there.

  • Oh, I think she gets it.  She not so much making a joke about it as trying to dismiss it.  If she didn't know it was flucked all up, she wouldn't DD and change her name, etc.
    image
  • Dude, I just don't get all the defending of Floyd going on there.

Intentionally exposing small children to sexual acts is nothing short of abuse in my opinion (don't people go to jail for that stuff?).  They say she didn't know, ok, I may buy that, BUT a parent who keeps their kid in an abusive or dangerous situation becomes culpable for the abuse, even if they aren't the actual abuser.

If your H beats your kids and you don't stop it, you go to jail too for allowing it.  Can someone tell me why this is all that different?

    image
  • they defended 2006mamas though with her child molester husband.
  • Honestly, all joking aside, if my husband did that, I would leave him without a second thought.  That whole situation makes my skin crawl.  There is no way to justify exposing a child to that in my opinion.

The AP argument doesn't fly with me.  Wait until your kid is asleep and go into another room.

I have a friend going through something similar right now (exposed to sex from a VERY young age and throughout childhood) and as far as I know, both parents went to jail for a bit.

So yeah, she didn't know the kid was in the bed, fine. But once she found out, that is a one-way ticket to moving out and denying your husband access to the child until he gets some MAJOR help.

I want to know the story secretheart heard to make her call him a wonderful father.

Who did? I'm pretty sure she was driven off with torches and pitchforks, never to be seen again.

I got flamed to hell and back for mocking her. i made up a nickname for her, dammit, what was it. I know one was 2007juror but there was like 2008convict or something? anyway, I got majorly ripped for that one by people on ML. Not saying everyone on the board liked her and not saying that people didn't eventually run her off, but for a time she was heavily defended.

  • Do they usually say gay and retard that much? Or are they just laying it on thick for our benefit?

I mean, I confess, I am not especially bothered by either but it seems excessive over there.

Floyd seems a little panicky/frantic over the whole thing. Any idea how old she is? Or how she feels about her age? ha

    Tambcat - seems a little.....dim?

    image Guess who?
  • there was a post over the weekend about Floyd's MIL spraying her kid with a cold water hose for peeing his pants.

And she still let MIL take him for the day, but hey, it enlightened her about why her H might be how he is.

  • Remember that scene in RHONY when they're on Scary Island and Kelly is fiending on some jelly beans and Sonja is all "...and now we're picking on a crazy person"?

That is sort of how this is starting to feel.

This is definitely a factor.  The assumption is that we'll be scandalized and deliver a highly entertaining response.  Which isn't a terrible strategy, I admit.

  • Ohmigah. She just said she had to get over the sex in front of the kid since she lives with him.
  • They are driving me batty over there.  Floyd constantly putting on the act that she doesn't care, she just doesn't want SH to talk about Floyd's feelings.  Give me a break.  You are going through a very difficult situation - full of emotions.  Everything you experience is colored by your emotions.  There is very little fact that you are providing.

    Oh, but she doesn't care.

The turf war is kinda funny.

How what's starting to feel? I don't think there's any picking on Floyd here in this thread.

Yeah but really, all of that is even beside the point. You choose to talk about truly trashy/disturbing stuff like that on a public message board and you are entitled to exactly nothing when it comes to what people will or won't say about it.

Which leaves two choices: 1) don't marry a guy who would do something like that or 2) find a real friend to talk to about it privately and if she gossips about it, get mad at her.

I disagree.  I think staying with someone who's abusing your kid makes you a douche too.

No, Cali.  Even the 'conflict' ones will make you want to stab your eyes out.  For every actual post there are 15 "LOLZ!!! OMG, I'm choking!" and 4 nonsense PIPs that aren't remotely funny.

They're joking about that right?  Somebody please tell me they don't actually think any of those CN / ML threads are funny, right? Right?

  • Ugh, now I have to go to both boards don't I.

Good luck.  It's like everyone has ADD over there and there are 50 million posts about the subject.
