Re: Who makes more?
I think I hate you a little bit. lol
my friend's electric bill last month was $350!!!!!!!!
You can't hate me!!! LOOOOOVE ME!!!! haha. You guys could always move to Alabama! The house next door to us is still for sale and there's always a ton of meth-heads and arsonists that need policing!!!
YAY OUR FAVORITE THINGS! lol
At the rate we're moving with this house, anywhere but here is sounding pretty damn nice!
Any word on a closing date yet??
We've had nothing but bad news and meetings all week. BUT we're going into a meeting any minute now (literally sitting here waiting for the call) and we'll know for sure whether or not it's happening tonight. If so, we close by Friday because the house goes into foreclosure August 1st. It'll feel good to not worry about this crap anymore!
Well, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for ya!!! I hope you guys get the house and that you don't have to worry about all the BS anymore!!!
welcome to my life! I love NY, yea yea yea! GRRR We have mortgage, student loans for both and credit cards! FML
Stu- I hate you too. Our PG&E (gas & electricity) was over $400 last month. Ugh. I wanted to cry.
I make just about 60% of our household income. My job also provides the benefits (I work for a com. college).
You've heard what I've done, not what I've been through.
If you were in my shoes, you'd fall the first step."
If I were working full time as a drafter again, I'd probably be making slightly more than HH. Ohhh how I wish that were the case (us both working f/t again!). I work on call for the engineer at $20/hr, and I have full time work as a med tech, which is HALF that pay, but it's soooome kind of financial contribution in this awful recession at least.
The long term goal is to get my RN and make $30-45/hr, and do the on-call drafting at $20/hr. HH makes $18/hr working with another tree company, and $75/hr when he does tree jobs with his brother (self employed). Those are here & there type jobs though, not every day, and they pay taxes & then split the leftover pay, so it's probably not near as much as it sounds.
