Oh, neat! I didn't know you were going to get an engineering degree. How hard is it to do that and hold a full time job? I can't imagine...
I have a friend who has an english degree and is in our editing department- she corrects grammar, format, etc in documents and she wishes she had gotten an engineering degree but doesn't think she could hack that with a full time job.
I would warn you that engineering isn't what most people think it will be, but if you're already a tech editor I bet you know what it's really like. And it definitely takes someone interested in science and math. At least where I work, I have to admit that we are an interesting breed, haha.
Re: Marsh27
Well, if you need moral support or anything, I'm here for ya! Good luck, it will probably be crazy. And I'll be interested to see how hard it is for you, because I can tell my friend and maybe she'll decide she wants to try it, too.
Are you doing this online?
