Me & Jane; I couldn't see much of her, there was so much blanket and so little baby.
Let's back the train up here. Donkey had no fewer than six photo shoots of herself and/or her baby in as many months during her pregnancy, birth, and first months of her infant's life. That's what she got crap for. And I probably wouldn't do pro photos myself, but I think inviting them in right after the birth is not weird, in general.
Now in reference to makeup before pics are taken, HELL YES. I mean, I probably won't be doing a smoky and and using several different angled brushes or whatever, but concealer and powder? Um, of course. I imagine it will go like this: baby comes out, doctor takes he/she over to wipe it off, I wipe my face with a washrag which I assume I'll have right there, then spruce up, maybe throw a little dry shampoo in my hair to degrease. Once the doctor is done cleaning the baby and brings it back to me, I'm done. I do not really allow myself to be photographed looking a hot mess. I see nothing wrong with continuing this rule in the birthing room.
