I commented on a post a few minutes ago on the DW board re: does anything change after marriage? As soon as I posted, I literally lol'ed. I completely forget that so few people over there "know" my sense of humor like you gals do. The majority of the responses were so sweet-- they still had that newly married smell to them. Of course I didn't read any of them until after posting. Haha. So, for your reading pleasure, here is what I wrote...
He is permanently branded now-- by his wedding band. And it would be pretty expensive for him to trade me in for a newer model at this point. Other than that, he still leaves his socks on the floor and I still hog the blankets.
We've been together for 10 years, lived together for 8, and owned an apartment together for 6. I really believe that it only changes you if you let it. We swore that we wouldn't catch the disease-- you know, the one that single people make fun of? It turns once normal, social, couples into hermits who exclusively hang out with other "marrieds" and use the word "we" more than "I." Horrible disease. And highly contagious.
Marriage PSA: Do not become these people. Do not propagate the stereotype. Your single friends will mercilessly mock you.
Oops.
Re: Oh, sarcasm...
That was a good one. I can just see a few of them not knowing you sitting at the computer w/ their mouths open thinking...did she really just say that.
Yup. This is what I saw in my head... hence the lol.
I survived the RoLex wedding and all I got was this lousy husband.

Thank you for sharing, you've made my day...LOLOLOLOLOL.
I can only imagine what those girls who know nothing about our Choo are thinking.
You're my favorite!
xoxox
I'm guessing they now associate me with this, which I'm totally ok with...

Aw. My parents would be so proud!
I may have to change my siggie picture for more accurate representation. I think this one does the trick.
ETA: PIP FAIL
The stroller was the star of the baby shower. My friend was shocked when I rolled it out and she has not stopped thanking me. Here was her reaction when I turned the corner with it...
Again, thank you so much!!!

ETA: Well only if you are willing to share your shoes.

LOL, I love it! Although that is a little more lolita than I think of you..
Haha, so glad the stroller worked out
. I think they are pretty fab. Makes me, for the briefest moment, have a baby sooner than later so I can get one now...
I mean, Alex did rob me from a cradle. I was 16. He was a college grad...
When I finished putting it together, my uterus twinged. That bloody stroller is so freaking nice it completely clouds my sanity.

Would you like to be my bff?? That's the stroller I want
hahaha. Sadly I am only interviewing for NYC bffs right now, so if you're looking to move, we can chat. I'm completely overbooked with cross-country friends. My Amex bill hates all my long distance friendships!
But seriously, the stroller was totally worth the money. My bff did all of our wedding stationery at cost-- she wouldn't let me pay her a dime. The Uppa was my little way of saying thank you...

What if I make all the trips to see you??
I know Cris LOVES her Uppa. She's the one that sold me. My BFF already understands it's her responsibility to buy the Uppa for me when I'm KTFU
My Amex likes the sound of that.
I went back and forth between the Uppa, the Bugaboo, the Orbit, and the Silver Cross for months before choosing the Uppa. It just worked best for my bff's lifestyle (she wants more than one child-- I bought her the Rumble Seat too).
I cannot wait to push Tucker around in it. But not next week. He and I made a pact that he would not make an appearance until Auntie Ro is back from her vacation. If my bff goes into labor when I'm away, Uncle Alex is going to have to fork up a pretty large amount of money for a last minute ticket to Boston. Annnnd spend the rest of vacation by himself.

Back to Palmilla (the hotel we got married at) in Cabo, then to LA/Malibu for a few days. My bff's husband hasn't done well in birth class, and I'm her backup (since I've witnessed countless births). She wants me to be at the hospital soon after she is admitted and I didn't want to stress her out by leaving the continent.
So nothing crazy for us. Golfing, surfing, and many, many margaritas.
