I have such high hopes for reading while in Aruba. I'm planning on finishing the Millenium series there (I'm almost done with the 2nd book now and I'm loving it). What else should I absolutely not miss?
Of course, my sister pointed out that I am traveling with an 8 month old, so I may be overly optimistic about my beach reading time. Whatever, Negative Nelly - peddle your wares someplace else.

Re: What should I read next?
I have just started The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest, and am struggling with all these Swedish names and places.
I think the next book I'm going to read is The Reader.
Are you wanting something serious or beachy fluff?
My favorite fluff series that I recommend all the time here is the Enchanted Inc books. Bethie also just got me hooked on The Luxe series.
Have you read the previous two books? I read The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and am almost done with The Girl Who Played With Fire.

If you're not opposed to YA, I'm on the last book of the Hunger Games series. It's excellent.
I enjoyed The Passage, but it's over 1100 pages or something crazy like that. Good book though.

Don't do what I did and bring The Pact and My Sister's Keeper to read on the beach. I did that in our honeymoon and they are totally Debbie Downer books.
I loved the Millennium series and really liked the first two Swedish movies.
I just read Think Twice by Lisa Scottoline and couldn't put it down. It's a quick read that might be good for the beach.
I love the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich.
Jealous of your trip - have fun!
Kay, save yourself the time and don't bother with The Reader. It's a terrible story. I haven't seen the movie, but I can't imagine why someone would want to make that crap into a movie.
November, you already read the Art of Racing in the Rain, correct? Because that'd be my recommendation. I also really liked The Weight of Silence -- Winger and I both read that one and enjoyed it. And if you haven't read The Book Thief, you should. It's so good.

Husbands should be like Kleenex: Soft, strong, and disposable.
It's a dystopian YA book, sort of "Lottery"-esque. Pretty damn good.

I'm thinking I should delete my thread above so as not to tempt the few people on here who seem to be reading it. Good idea?
Hunger Games is the first book in a 3 book series. It takes place in a post apocalyptic world that is made up of 12 districts, and The Capitol, which reigns over all districts. Every year, to demonstrate just how much control they have, the Capitol holds what they call "The Hunger Games" - a televised event in which each of the 12 districts nominates two representatives to participate in said games. Participants get thrown into an arena, and are forced to fight to the death until there is one victor.
The book is narrated by Katniss, a girl who nominates herself for the games to save her little sister.
Husbands should be like Kleenex: Soft, strong, and disposable.
Thanks everybody! Yes I did read (and love) The Art of Racing in the Rain. I may have to check out The Hunger Games.
I borrowed my sister's Kindle so that I could travel w/o a bunch of books, so I'll have to continue to look at what to add to it.
