Katie - Yay for your last year!!!  What will your degree be?  And that does sound like an awesome opportunity!!  Lots of extra work at home for you, but still pretty cool!!

it will be my BS in communication. I started school 6 years ago but with getting married, buying a house, and having a baby, it is taking a little longer then i had hoped!! :)

Oh, that's right!!  You're my fellow communications degree-er, haha. :)   It's quite exciting that you're so close to being done now! :)   Any idea what kind of career you'd like to pursue?

  • Well being back to work has kept me pretty busy during the days, and my evenings are spent lesson planning after Alex is asleep, although I am almost too tired too stay up for that.

Alex is doing great.  PT is going well with him and getting better everyday.  DH is good.  His b-day is next week, but he is lame and doesn't want to celebrate what so ever and I have no clue what to buy him.  I did get him a PS3 game, but he was with me so I still would like him to open something.  I think I might have Alex make him something.

Other than that life is good, the days are just flying by.  I'm stoked for fall though, its my favorite season!  We have our 5 yr anniversary coming up in Oct. but no plans to celebrate it yet.  At least I have a 3 day weekend that week.  Plus I am scrappin' a weekend in early Nov as a b-day present to myself and I am really really really looking forward to that.

I've got wedding invitations to make for my bff too, but I am slacking on those.  Hopefully they won't take too long.  She did the STDs herself, 140 of them! and I am making 150 invitations.  Whew.

Where to start.. our sitter took a week vacation so we took A to meet her great grandparents in Canada.  I had my mom come stay with us before we left, dropped her off on our way and then picked her up on our way back hom and she stayed for another five days with us because her apartment flooded.  It was great having her with us and I wish she would just move in with us.  s/o my mom, she is doing ok.  She was able to get back on chemo, three of them to be exact and had her second treatment this week.  She has to go for nine weeks before they can check to see if it is keeping the cancer from spreading.

A is 10 months on the 31st and I just can't believe it!  I have to start planning her 1st bday party so if anyone wants to help me with items/thoughts/suggestions, let me know ;-)   She is getting to be such a big girl.  She is 14 lbs and is rolling and army crawling all over the place!  She also waves Hi, dances and we are working on Hi-5's.  She babbles all the time, but says ba-ba & ma-ma.  Oh, she has been sleeping pretty much through the night (8 - 9hrs) for months now.

Since A's party is going to be in less then 2 months and because she is getting into  things now, I have been busting butt every night to get the house ready.   We still have boxes that we need to unpack, crazy I know, I hate that I don't get home from work until 630/7pm.  I also got a new car, a Honda Odyssey, and I really don't care for it.  It is a great family car and works perfect for us, but I work downtown and it is too big.  I need a little fast car so I can be quick & aggressive!  LOL.  I think that is about it, but I am sure I missed something.

  • There was a teaching job that we were pretty positive I was going to get back home and then it didn't happen last minute.  So that stinks.  But in the end, the way things were handled did not reflect well on the school at all nd I'm probably better off not being there anyway.  But we were finally thinking that our break had come and we could move forward with the future things we are so wanting to experience.  House and baby in particular.  On to plan Q!

We are right in the thick of our wedding season.  I was supposed to be in a wedding tomorrow but they postponed it back in the spring.  Matt is in a wedding this weekend, so we're looking forward to that a lot!

We just got back from Mackinac Island for our 2nd anniversary and will be going back in October.  Staying at Grand Hotel for their final night of the season, which we are SUPER excited about.

We both have baby rabies but it wouldn't be very responsible of us to have kids right now.  So we've been talking a lot about names lately and I think we've officially picked our girl name. :)

  • Crimson - How nice of them to give you those unrealistic deadlines!  Ugh! :(  And I'm side-eyeing your DH too!  Why is no one consulting you lately?!?  Canning sounds fun though, and YAY for the last loan payment!!! :):)

allobosc - Glad to hear that Alex is doing well, and it sounds like you have lots of fun plans coming up!! :)  You'll have to show us the invites once you have them made!!  How fun! :)

Jen - Sounds like a nice trip, and I love the updates on A!  Your new siggy pictures are also ADORABLE!!!  Any ideas on a party theme for her yet?   I giggled at you wanting a fast little car, heh. :)

MrsH - Bummer about the job!!  But with that letter, it definitely sounds like it was really a blessing in disguise!!  I'm also VERY jealous of your Mackinac trips - we'd love to go back again!!!

Thanks Merin.  A is so funny when it comes to pictures.  As soon as she sees the camera, she starts smiling... LOL, but her smile is like a mouth wide open smile.  It is adorable but so funny.  No ideas about a theme.  I'm going to start a new post about ideas for it.  I sooo need a fast little car for downtown driving!!!
