I learned VERY quickly while waiting tables in Texas that when someone asks for "coke" you say "what kind".

You're right about that, Z. I was in for a shock the first time I went up North and ordered a tea. I think I used all of the sugar packets on my table to get my tea sweetened.

My BFF puts WAY too much sugar in hers.  It's enough to send you to the dentist if you are not used to it.  Overkill.  I love sweet tea but not THAT sweet.  Then it's just sugar water.

    Lollipops or suckers?

Soda, pop, or Coke? soda's for baking, cokes for snorting, POP is for drinking, ya'll!

Creek or crick? Creeks are them pesky things that feed rivers :P

    Thongs or flip-flops?

    Sneakers or tennis shoes?

Sub or grinder or hoagie? in my house all of those things mean something different depending on the filling/style of the sammich. so like a sub is cold-cuts, a grider is a hot-meat sammich with cold accoutrements, and a hoagie is comepletely cooked filling (veggies & meat) and melty cheese.
