Apparently I am suppose to be the spitting image of my mother, I don't see it but it provided an incredibly awkward night once. I was invited to a Christmas party at an aunts house and we 'reconnected' with a bunch of my parent's friends and family that had fallen off the earth when my parents died.
People I didn't know were staring at me all night, eventually I had to leave it was too uncomfortable. On my way out I was cornered by two women who unleashed 25 years of guilt on me telling me how horrible they felt for not staying in touch with us after my mother died. My aunt later told me they said they felt like my mother's ghost was in the room with them, down to my mannerisms which is super weird.
Oh but I have green eyes like on my dads side, and b00bies my mom did not have those. LOL
People are always trying to unload their guilt on you! And how weird!

I do know what you mean though, i've even seen pictures of myself where I realize i'm sitting/standing/hands placed/etc the exact same as my mother.
I kinda look like both, and can have the temper of my father, but more mannerisms like my mother. Height/tall from my father.
I hope i'm more like Mom to other people though.
You are SO right!! WTF, ugh they were even crying & all it did was pi$$ me off, I was oblivious to how close they were to my mother before that. I walked away thinking they were selfish 8itches actually.

You mean your great grandmother? LOL, just kidding. I can't even remember if that's the right side of the family or situation.
I look mostly like my dad, but got my mom's wavy hair and as I get older her mannerisms.
One summer I was at my dad's office getting ready to walk down the street to my internship and several people stopped me and said you must be his daughter. I guess the resemblance is pretty strong, although he has a full beard and bald, lol.
I wish I would have gotten my mom's height, she and her brothers were all tall.

My mom's side mostly, with a little bit from my dad.
My dad recently found a picture he took of my mom when they were dating. He had left it laying around the house and I happened to find it. I brought it to him and asked when he took this picture of me. He laughed and told me that it was my mom. It was a profile shot in black and white and she was wearing the big sunglasses that were popular back in the 70's, and are again popular now, which was why I thought it was me.
But holy crap looks just like me.

We have a couple pictures of my mom when she was 21/22 at a van club rally in 1977 and my sister swore it was me and asked why I was wearing a bandana because it wasn't like me. I looked and told her it was mom. Until I saw those pictures I didn't realize how much we looked alike.

Apparently neither.
I have most of my personality and mannerisms from my moms sides but I do not actually look like them (despite having my aunts body). However, My cousin looks like my family and we have such similar coloring and a few common features that people can tell we are related.
On my dad's side, I have some of the family features (the awful nose but at least my chin is not as bad as my sisters). I have been told that I look like my Pappaw which is not much of a compliment to look like an 80 year old man but when you look at pics of him when he was younger, I get it. However, everytime I got to family reunion or funeral everyone always tells me, I must look like my moms side of the family. I feel like a mutt that no one wants!

I am a mix of both, but I look a lot like my mom. She has a picture of herself at 3 and a picture of me at 3 and the only difference is hers is in black & white & mine is in color.
These days I don't think we look alike, but I have a lot of her features, like the same nose and feet.
Oh, I have blonde hair and everyone else in my family has dark hair...
I look mainly like my mom but my personality is from my dad's mom.
If I was at home, I could put up my mom and mine's baby pictures....we look identical.
