As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. I need some help..
How do I go about applying for a job that I have NO experience at, but it is something I have always wanted to do and just to at least try? Kinda like the girl breaking out of retail?

Consider what the job truly entails and see which skills you've developed in [retail/whatever] that would make you good at it. Pump them in your cover letter or resume.
Also consider what aspects of the career appeal to you, and look around for transitionary jobs that offer similar interests.
If it's something that a small bit of training can help with, take a small course related to it to see if you really do enjoy it and to at least develop an idea of what skills you'll need to learn, if not the skills themselves.
