Re: Blerg.
That means we'd have to rent a car, which he won't do if I don't go.

Is it bad that the thought of sitting alone in a hotel room and reading sounds like a fantastic vacation to me? Fent, you'll understand when you're a mother.
Your annoyance is justified in my opinion, Fent. I'd be pissed about spending the extra money when it is something that you will not enjoy.
My Monday gripe is that somebody from Office Services tossed out a bag of food that I had in the refrigerator here at work. They were supposed to clean the refrigerators on Friday and told us to "clearly mark" anything that we wanted to save. Well, I had a bag with my name in Sharpie. The bag was there this morning, so I put some more food in it (all in all, it was at least 4 days worth of lunches). I go to get today's lunch out of it, and the damn thing is gone. FOUR lunches. I am trying really hard to save money and be good. I don't need encouragement to go out to lunch. Jerks.
Your hotel will probably have shuttles to the outlet malls. OR just go to Universal and ride coasters all day.

Yeah, but he'll be in there, too, with the TV on. Probably watching NASCAR! Now sitting at home in my bed in silence or with some jazzy music on very low volume while reading a book? That is heaven.

11/11/11 = 5 years. Woah!
Fallin, he told me he wants me to go so I'm there when he crosses the finish line. I feel bad declining just because I don't feel like it because he wants me to support him.
Actually, no I don't like him at all! If I did like him, I would create dozens of posts here about all the things I loved about him and all the nice things he does for me, because I know how entertaining it is and the great potential for equally entertaining responses of "aw how sweet!"

Has he ever done a marathon before? If he hasn't, I would go for sure. It's a big accomplishment and I would want my H there.
Of course, I would go and hang out at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter regardless, but I am a nerd, so...
The nerve!

Pretty much. Except the part about using the pg thing against me. He's been less gung ho in general since we had our nieces for a long weekend. I think he senses we're both on the Whenever, But No Hurry train now and is essentially saying, Why don't I make this concession, which is not really a concession at all, and then you'll agree to come to the race.
Here's what happened: He said, I'm doing the Disney marathon. I said, Knock yourself out, but I'm not going. I fully assumed this idea was going to fade away like P90X and the triathalon before, so I didn't bother to strongly suggest doing the STL marathon instead. I also thought it would be one night in a hotel, which has now turned into at least three, maybe four. He thought at the time that he wouldn't care if I was there or not, but now that he registered and it's getting closer, he wants someone to be at the finish line to congratulate him.

Is he going out a couple days early? If so, fly in the day of the race and meet him. Best of all worlds. 2 nights alone with jazz and books and you support him and he's happy.
