What did you judge this week?
Re: What did you judge this week?
I just googled it- Mothers Of Pre-Schoolers.
what if you were ignorant and purchased a mix breed dog, but since then have educated yourself and realized the error of your ways and in the future will always get pets from shelters.
For less then ten cents a day, you can feed a hungry child.
I judged the possible juggalette looking gal at Target who put her newborn down in the bottom of the cart (on a blanket - she's not totally neglectful!).
If I could get Jane into a couple ads and take care of a year or two of college, I totally would.
I applaud that. It's the people who learn the error of their ways and continue with making bad decisions that irk me (and that applies to everything, not just pets)
My family's first dog was a sheltie from a crummy breeder that we found in the newspaper. And we fed him IAMS.
We all live and learn!
They pay that much?? Do it!
You can go ahead and judge my DH...he took our DOG to a talent scout and had his pictures taken for a website. (It was free.) To be fair this was when his hours at work were reduced and he was trying to come up with ways to make money.
a cat that you apparently HATE!
If you're going to feed them Iams that's fine, but you might as well feed them Nun-better or Meow Mix, because it's just as crappy just a whole lot cheaper.
Pet's shed less, poop less and generally have less health problems when fed a better quality of food, that's all.
Also calling your pets by the designer names sort of promotes that "breed", why not just say maltese mix or corgi mix. Unless you are going to say I have a rescued maltipoo, which still sort of irks me.
I judged a mom while I was at lunch. Her 2 kids were screaming and she was too busy texting to take care of them. Then after they were done screaming, they both kept saying mom, mom, mom and she just ignored them. Take care of your damn kids and put your phone down.
The cat seems to have no shedding, poop, or health issues. I feed Iams because the vet said to select a food with meat, not meal or by-product, as the first ingredient. If you are saying that doesn't matter, I'll switch to Meow Mix at the next bag. My cat loves it, and it is a whole lot cheaper.
and I would encourage people to get a maltipoo, maltoodle, maltese poodle cross whatever you want to call it as a pet. A rescue is better than buying one (imo) yes but they are awesome dogs.
I would say stay away from chow corgi mixes like they are the devil incarnate.

I've just been educated on pet's diets and have worked with rescues for over 15 years. It's something I'm passionate about, not something that makes me feel more superior...
I have nothing to say about the pet thingy, but I do have a judgment that I wanted to share with you all...
A friend (not super close, but our kids' are close in age, so we pretend to bond over that) is planning her kid's 2nd birthday party. I just received this notification from Facebook:
Hey guys!
I've taken an idea from another friends birthday (thanks [name redacted to protect the greedy]!) and I've created a Wish List at Toys-R-Us for [kid]'s birthday under # [redacted].
Thanks!
I judge a registry for a second birthday.
I was serious. Is Iams no better than Meow Mix even though it has meat as the first ingredient?
I judge announcing it, but, as a non-mom about to buy a gift for a 6 year-old, I would love a wish list. I actually have an Amazon wish list to direct my mom at Christmas so she doesn't ask what I want weekly starting in November.
I used to feed my dog a highly rated dog food that cost me $30 for a big bag at the health food store.
Then I got a roommate. My dog would ALWAYS go for her dog's Kibbles and Bits and loved it. So, now my roomie and I split a big $15 bag of dog food instead. Boomer seems perfectly content and healthy.
I think Iams is better than Meow Mix but that you can do much better than Iams in the grand scheme of pet food. Meat as the first ingredient IS good, but it's the rest of the ingredients in Iams that make it mediocre. Corn = big no no (for dogs at least). I'd be happy to suggest other brands. Where do you shop for pet supplies? PM if you want.
In all seriousness though it really does make a difference in the health and appearance of your pet. Sure there are cases here and there of a dog living to 23 eating Science Diet but it's rare for a dog to live that long regardless of diet so I think that's just a freak occurrence.
Whew. It's exhausting being all huffy and superior!
On the pet food front. I was paying a brazillion dollars to get Royal Canin food for Paige. And then I found out that it's made by mars, and has plenty of crappy ingredients and byproducts too. Asssholes.
I did some internet research and then looked around and found a really top notch food here that is made locally-ish (one province over), and is half the price of that expensive pet store food I was buying. So if you do a little looking, it is possible to find high quality stuff that isn't crazy expensive. My cat is proof that food makes a difference, she is friggin ethereal and angelic as all get out. And she is 2 years old with long hair and has never thrown up or had a hairball.
Now everyone leave me alone while I bask in my superiority.
Petsmart just started carrying Wellness which is an excellent brand. It looks to be more than what you want to spend though. In the long run though with less fillers (thus a bag lasts longer) and fewer trips to the vet (theoretically) pricier foods usually even out over the life of the pet.
Pet food judgers can judge me.
I have one underweight cat and one overweight cat, and one who's fine. They all have to eat different amounts of different foods, and I have no clue how I'm going to keep them from each other while they're eating. I think I'm going to designate the powder room as the cat eating room and just leave them in there until they're done, one at a time.
I haven't been that judgy this week. Except for Floyd. I'm always judging Floyd.
The nerve!

Even for vaccinations? Is it because you don't want her to catch the autism?
She's 100% indoors so what's she going to catch?
