What did you judge this week?
Re: What did you judge this week?
I didn't take Weenie yearly. He's terrified of the vet, and the benefits of the vax for an indoor cat don't outweigh four days of dragging himself around, vomiting, and diarrhea afterward.
Our new vet immediately takes him to a gas chamber (not the bad kind) and can sedate him while he's still in the carrier. He falls asleep in there and wakes up in there, and has no idea anything ever happened to him. It's awesome.
But honestly, for 100% indoor cats, as long as you do flea preventative, yearly vet visits aren't really necessary.

If Floyd is talking about herself, I'm usually judging.
I could give afuck if you feed your cat/dog just bacon for the rest of it's life, food that tastes good makes me happy, why should a pet be different?
A kid I knew did 5 commercial for the cheese board (board of cheese? dunno) in the 80's and paid for University. Hellz yes, if you have connections use them.
I'm judging one of the other mom's from Lila's daycare group. She was pulling out of the driveway after dropping Little Totalstrippername off and lit up a ciggy as che pulled away.
Fallin, yes Meow Mix isn't much better at all than Iams. An awesome food is Chicken Soup for Pet Lover's Soul and it's in your price range. Go here, it's sold at a lot of places and shouldn't be hard to find. http://www.chickensoupforthepetloverssoul.com/dealer_locator/
Also I wouldn't take my cat to the vet yearly either, but at least every 2-3 years for at least an exam. If it's a new cat or kitten they need an exam and their shots/ testing asap.
Mod, the gas chamber is basically a large aquarium with a lid. They hook isoflurane or another gas anesthesia to it and just knock your pet out. The same as if they were intubated just easier, but it does take longer and its hard to watch because they sort of flop about. Of course they don't remember, so I'm cool with if it they are the type that gets stressed easily or if they are evil. This is the way most feral cats are sedated to get spayed/neutered.

Mod, it is really great for Weenie. He had really never had a complete physical exam until this vet. They literally couldn't do it. He is totally fine afterward, which was always a big issue for us, too. It's a great alternative.
