Not that it's not still bugging me, or anything...
She also received a lashing from the board because she was a high school coach (not sure what sport) that would regularly text her students. It all blew up and she was told how inappropriate it was for her to have "that type" of relationship with her students.
Perhaps I missed some big, juicy details, but I didn't understand that whole thing. Sure, I went to school back in the dark ages when cell phones were the size of ironing boards, so the whole text a teacher thing was after my time. But I was an art and journalism kid. There were many after school hours spent with teachers - and shocker - we discussed our outside-of-school lives.
Really?! That's so weird. And honestly, I don't know how I'd feel about my kid's coach texting (or calling them on the phone, for that matter). It's a little odd. One of my friends from HS is now a HS history teacher and she friends her students on Facebook. That is way too weird for me.

There is not much dirt. Did you get the dirt on the explosion of the original board which evolved into a second board (and actually, a sub-board of a 'select group')? b/c that's a pretty good story. And I like to think I was instrumental in the collapse.

WELL, when there were a bunch of bans over on 12-24, Momma.Brown and TheNerdyKatie decided to start another board where everyone could be free to judge w/out fear of bannination. Well, we all know how the "off-boards" inevitabley meet a firey death - - - this one was no exception.. kinda.
Things are moving along and MB starts getting a little weird, taking things really personally. She decided to ban brandonswife (wha? thought you couldnt' be banned barring a crazy episode? Nope) b/c BW took a gmail chat between herself and MB (who was shItting on another Memo member) and sent it to said Memo member in retaliation for MB not "taking up for her" in another thread.
So, drama ensues after BW is banned w/ most ppl agreeing w/ the bannination b/c BW is a little crazy and a select few (namely me), saying it was BS.
After that, MB starts logging into my account daily and chaning my avatar pics to pics of tampons and chaning my sig pics to tampons. I ignore it. She then starts changing all my words to "pirate speak". I comment how weird it is to have a mod change your words, and most people agree and tell MB she's "drunk w/ power"...

So, after the members decide MB is "drunk w/ power" and should "turn over the reigns" to someone more sane, she starts banning people randomly and yelling crazy like "I'll push the button and bring this whole board down right now, youbunch 'o ungratefulbitches!!!!"
Somehow, TheNerdyKatie convinces her to take a "break", which we all think happens. Crisis averted. Yet, no not so much.
MB then calls acviteboard, pretends to be TNK (the "owner" of the board) and requests it be shut down. Activeboard is perplexed b/c the board is, by far, it's most active and has well over $300 in "credit", but shuts it down anyway.
TNK has to CALL activeboard and explain psycho. Activeboard sets up a second board (link below, please join) which everyone migrates to after MB destroyed the previous board.
During the MB debacle, another Memo created a "bomb shelter" board where people could join to avoid and talk about all the crazy that was happening on Memo v.1. That board stayed around after the creation of the new Memo v.2. It only has 100 or so members and you have to be "voted" in.
I am a member of both b/c I'm a loser.
