Re: Good morning. Let's chat.

  • I sit in a room with seven workstations, and I'm the only person here today.  This is partly because it's Friday, and people are working from home, but it's mostly because all of my coworkers keep quitting or getting fired.  3/7 people that sit in this room with me either quit or got fired this week.  This is not a good thing.

Also, there's some alarm in the hallway that keeps going off, and it's driving me up a wall.  I wish it would stop.

I don't think that getting back in touch with an ex has ever made my life better in any way.

  • Nov, I would be with your therapist on the idea of just writing a letter and not sending it. Nothing good can really come from this and knowing that you over think things, I don't think it would be closure for you. You would just be thinking about his response or lack of and what it meant.

Plus, I think that even if you told you H and he was ok with it that deep down he would be wondering why you felt you had to say anything at all to your ex. The jerk ended your marriage on the dance floor of a wedding, he doesn't deserve to know you are happy for him. You deserve better and you now have it, that should be enough to move on.

  • Whoa Boxer....sounds like you need to work on quitting too.  I can't imagine it's a very good work environment.

  • You know, I don't know if I just needed to run it by someone else, but it sounded like a much better idea in my head than it does now that I read it.  I think you are all right that it would be really stupid to contact him.  I mean, why?  What purpose would it serve?  I think I'm just getting reflective over my small milestone birthday coming up, thinking about the past few years, etc.

I'm definitely going to talk to my therapist next week about it, but I think that you are right.  No good would come from my contacting him.

I'm also excited because I've got a whole weekend ahead of me with absolutely no plans.  That never happens.  Woohoo.

I read that as no pants.

Which sounds like my husbands perfect weekend.

  • I'm wearing jeans, brown tee shirt, dark teal long cardigan and bronze flats. I wish I were in sweats on my couch.

I feel super duper blah today. I'm overthinking about the future, boys, friends, etc. I need a nap and a swift kick in the asss.

  • I must have a powerful cycle Kiz, because I pretty much always want to shop.

Why has no one addressed my concern over this lobster roll issue.  I'm getting worried.

  • I don't think finding a lobster roll is going to be a problem.  They won't be quite as plentiful as they are in summertime, but I'm sure you'll find one.
  • I didn't address your concern because I already told Bethie and Moo that I expect to eat a lobster roll while we're there before I even booked my ticket.  They don't want to cross me.
