Re: Weekend plans
ugh. Now I want chocolate AND an apple fritter.
I'm supposed to go to a work party thing tonight, but I think I want to blow it off. It's BYOB and BYOMeattoputonthegrill. That does not sound like a fun party to me.
Tomorrow my friends are having a BBQ, and they're providing the meat and booze, so I'm excited about that one.
And I think Sunday we're either going to go to the Zoo or for a hike. Or stay home and watch football.

You will be right by my house. I got engaged at that farm. I really love it there.
Tomorrow morning I'm cleaning and then we are going to a local farm market fall festival. They'll have food (homemade apple dumplings!), entertainment, hayrides, corn maze, pick-your-own-pumpkin patch, and they have the most amaaazing tiger butter fudge ever! Should be fun.
Sunday I will be doing work all day because I'm really behind on my grading, and I have a sub 2.5/4 days next week (Monday is an in-service day) so I need to get my plans ready.
Tonight grabbing a beer with two of my friends.
Tomorrow going to a music festival thing with this guy that I may be dating, or may just be FWBs with. I don't know what we're doing.
Sunday I work.
Going to the farmer's market in the morning, then to the local apple festival. Where there will be fritters, but not like that disgusting donut Kiz posted. They are apple slices dipped in dough and fried, then sprinkled with sugar. I wish they wouldn't make me vomit. Maybe if I brush all the sugar off first?
Sunday we're heading out to Watkins Glen for a VW weekend. My husband is all giddy about getting to drive the bus around the race track. Then dinner with friends.
God I love apple fritters.
Today was Lorne's grandma's birthday - I think she's 86 or 87 - and her kids threw a surprise brunch for her at her house. I made pumpkin coffee cake muffins, one of Lorne's aunts made three kinds of quiche. Mmm. It was pretty fun, and Will ran around with his cousin until he was completely drained and went down for the easiest nap ever. Now Lorne is working on his car because it tried to kill me yesterday.
Tomorrow we're having some friends over to watch baseball. Hopefully having other people around will make it so Lorne doesn't get super mopey if the Twins lose again and are out.
I don't think we're doing anything on Sunday. I'm hoping I get to sleep in a little.
I saw the pumpkin coffee cake muffin recipe and pics on your blog. If it turns out that I don't have the 'betes, I'm going to try to make them next week.

They waited four days to tell me. I was convinced that if I had it they would have told me right away. But noooooooooooo.
And it's ridiculous, because when you test your blood at home you know in like, 5 seconds. The lab test may be more accurate but it can't take *that* much longer.
I do NOT have GD! Hooray! Apparently if you pass the test they mail you the results, and I haven't gotten mine yet. Lanie face.
On the other hand, I have full-blown, sideshow-oddity-style PUPPS. It's horrible. It's all over. My feet look like I'm wearing socks made of hives. And the only thing they can do for me is calm the itching; the rash won't go away until after delivery. I almost cried at the doctor's office this morning. Kill me now.
