Mine was great! Jason met me in the city for a nice dinner to celebrate the birthday. If anyone is in the NY area and looking for a good dinner, I highly recommend www.convivionyc.com We did the tasting menu - the appetizer was one of the best dishes I've had in a long time - pancetta wrapped quail with roasted fig. But really, every course was delicious and interesting. Yum
Saturday we went to a 1 yr old bday party for my friend's twins. That was cute. I went into sugar coma because of all the candy + cake.
Saturday night met my mom and sister for dinner and got a fancy new bracelet as a birthday gift.
Yesterday we went house hunting and were sorely disappointed.
The end.
Re: How was your weekend?
Mine was pretty quiet. I screwed up an appointment with my hairdresser on Saturday so I had to reschedule for next week. I did some shopping, and cleaned out Ian's closet and drawers. Yesterday we played in the yard and watched football.
Otherwise, I just followed my new little walker around the house.
One of Mr. Spiderman's friends from high school was in town, so she and her sister came over Friday night after dinner and we all hung out. They introduced me to this video and I've been singing the damn song all weekend long.
Saturday, we went to Costco and dropped $400 in no time flat. FYI -- they have Honeycrisps there for super cheap.
Sunday, I got my hair done and then did some shopping for my Halloween costume. But then I got distracted by Kohls and forgot to get the one last piece of costume I need, so I'll have to try to round that up this week.

I hate to alarm you, Kay, but your kid looks drunk.
OMG, he is so freakin' cute.
Kay, Ian walking is just too much. So cute.
My weekend was all work and some pizza. Boring.
mine was good. Saturday night was the retirement party, it was at one of the dr.'s house and they bought 2k worth of alcohol, I got a little tipsy on expensive champagne and vodka (not mixed together). I know you're not supposed to drink infront of your boss, but you haven't met this group, it always gets sloppy.
Sunday my H took me to brunch and we spent the rest of the day in sweatpants on the couch watching football.
I think Ian gets my vote for cutest baby in the caribbean. The way his face brightens when he turns around and looks at you is adorable. The whole thing just makes me want to squeeze him. I love when he tries to climb on the table, and then tries to pull the ottoman down.
Husbands should be like Kleenex: Soft, strong, and disposable.

I can't wait to watch Ian stagger around later!
We had a great weekend. We went to a little town north of here Saturday and shopped in the little antique stores. We started Christmas shopping, ugh. And Brett insisted that I buy a tiny little dish that's shaped like s chicken. He's my favorite. Then we had dinner at a hole in the wall screened porch, and went on a haunted plantation tour. It was fun but a little over the top.
Yesterday we declared it to be fall even if the weather said otherwise. I made applesauce and cheese puffs, and we carved pumpkins.
The nerve!

Pretty great weekend.
Found out on Friday that I'm pregnant. Yippee! Saturday I took Fozzy to the dog park and went to my moms to tell her the good news. Then on Sunday went to the dog park again and cleaned the house and caught up on Weeds. Long lazy weekend. Then today I had another dr appt and just heard back about my blood work. I'm a bit confused by it all but hoping it all goes well.
Congratulations Fozzy! Way to sneak that in to the post!
Friday we had a friend's going away party (he is moving to Baltimore). Saturday we babysat for a friend's 6 month old (such a fun age). Sunday football watching and relaxing. None of this compares to finding out your pregnant or having a drunk Ian.
It's so mean how you taunt him.
"I can walk backwards"
We had fun, we dressed Dagger up and took him to Zoo Boo to go trick or treating Saturday. Sunday I went to a Discovery Toys party that a friend hosted and that was fun to get a bunch of babies playing together.
Mine was ok. Saturday was the kickball tourney. We ended up getting to the final game, which was fun and all, but we were there allllll day and I had sort of only planned on a game or two. Sean did fabulously well, was quite content to people watch from the sidelines and get in a nursing session between games. But we were all tired and sore yesterday and just stayed close to home. I did a little cooking and cleaning.
Then Sean refused to sleep last night, so that was fun. I see that's going around the Caribbean. I finally brought him to our bed at 12. It was not a restful night.
The hair grows in thick where the horn used to be.
Yes PDX. I'm using toothpicks to hold my eyes open today.
Kay, I'm impressed he can walk in shoes already! It took Maggie a long while to get it down wearing shoes.
We rescued these little puppers! They went to jack russell terrier rescue yesterday, I miss those little pipsqueaks.
Ryker slept better overall last night, but I pretty much let him cry it out to bed. It was hard.
Congratulations Fozzy!
The video is so cute Kay! I love his little speed walk. He looks like he is getting out of control, so he has to reach his hands out to grab onto some air.
My weekend was exhausting. We moved the majority of our stuff out into a POD, so we are living with the bare essentials this week. So much so because I forgot to pull out some towels for us to use. My husband and I had to share one of Andy's monkey towels.
We found out late Friday night that we had a road block in the closing process that I was not expecting, so I spent the weekend stressing the eff out about it. But we just got an email saying that it was cleared. So yay! Now I just have to wait for the next hurddle to surprise us. Yes, I am sort of a pessimist.

Thanks Ladies. I went to the dr on Friday for a blood test and found out that way after 5 BFN on HPT's. Now they're monitering my levels to make sure everything is going well since I apparently ovulated really really late and am super early on. I'm pretty nervous but trying not to be. Three doctors appts in 1 week can do that I guess.
Thanks for the well wishes and hope you all had a good weekend!
I can't breathe too deeply or I'll puke. Just kidding. Sort of.
Closings are set for Thursday. Moving Friday.
Congrats, Fozzy.
My weekend was so-so. We had 2 days of class that was a combination of hospital tour, overview of hospital birthing procedures, and intro to breathing/relaxation techniques. My favorite part was bouncing on the birthing ball while H was directed to give me hand and shoulder massages. There was also one couple in the class who was vehemently opposed to medical intervention (they were taking the class in case their plan for home birth becomes infeasible), and they spiced things up a little. The husband and wife both kept raising their hand to "ask questions," but were really adding their 2 cents to everything the instructor said. At one point H asked me if he could throw our birthing ball at them.
I spent most of the rest of the weekend battling the hives, but I'll spare you the details, because I feel like a broken record on that topic.
Also, the Mad Men season finale left me feeling "meh."

Congratulations Fozzy!
Ian is adorable!
Good luck with the moving Vinny!
HT, I hope your hives go away soon. I'm sorry they're being such jerks about sticking around.
Our weekend was good. Friday we went to happy hour for our friend's birthday, and Lorne's parents were here so they babysat the kids and I drank some glorious beer. On Saturday we went to a pumpkin patch and then up to Lorne's grandma's house and watched the Huskies beat OSU. WOO. On Sunday we had our friend over to watch the Cowboys/Vikings game and laughed at him when his team lost, brewed beer, did laundry, and then MIL watched the kids while Lorne and I went on a date.
The date was fantastic - we did cheese & chocolate at the Melting Pot and I had four drinks. Four! It was the most I've drank in several years. But that was fine, because after dinner we saw Red, and it's a silly/funny movie and I don't think I missed out on anything because of my drunkeness. I also wore heels and a nice shirt and then leaked on my shirt. I almost never leak so I usually don't wear breast pads. Thank goodness I had a sweater. Things have been kind of crazy lately so it was really nice to have some alone time with Lorne. I really like my husband.
