Me again!
How is everyone this morning?
Re: Tuesday Randoms
I think I'm going to order a cute little make up pouch. Which one do you guys like better?
A.
B.
Ooo this one is cute too!
I like the third option best too! They are all cute though.
I'm a little meh this morning - we found out Toby probably has to have surgery again. He's going in tomorrow, being sedated and reassessed, and if needed they'll be going in to repair the knee again. They think he may have undone part of the original surgery - it's frustrating because he was right on track 3 weeks ago and we've been following doctor's orders to a T. Oh well I suppose - we'll do whatever needs to be done so that he can run around again some day!
Ugh, I hope he heals quickly! Poor guy.
Aww poor Toby. I hope he gets better soon!
Wop, I like #1.
JuliD, I hope Toby gets back on the road to recovery very soon. It's so frustrating when your furbaby is sick/injured and you can't fix it.
I'm in a crumnmy mood this morning. I've got too much going on this week and it's stressing me out. Then, last night, I received word from my mom that my grandpa has been diagnosed with stage IV of an aggressive form of non-Hodgkins lymphoma. He's starting chemo next week, but the chemo could damage is already unhealthy heart (he has a pacemaker). I'm very worried about him.
I am so sorry to hear that Kasa.
I will say a prayer for him and your family.
Oh goodness - many thoughts with your grandpa, you and your family. I hope all goes well in recovery - so scary. :-(
I made a fantastic casserole last night. It was this, but I made a few changes:
http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Salsa-Chicken-Rice-Casserole/Detail.aspx
Here was my recipe:
3-4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts in bite size pieces
1 yellow pepper chopped
Half large white onion chopped
teaspoon salt
teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 cups instant rice prepared to package directions
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup sour cream
1 3/4 cup salsa
2-3 good drops hot sauce
teaspoon garlic powder
1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese
6-7 pickled jalapeno rings, chopped (optional)
Preheat oven to 350
Sautee chicken, yellow pepper and onion. Sprinkle salt and cayenne pepper. Cook until chicken is no longer pink, and veggies are solf
Combine rice, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, salsa, hot sauce and garlic powder
Pour half rice mixture into a lightly greased 9x13 casserole dish, pour half chicken mixture on top, add half of the cheese, pour remaining rice mixture, and chicken mixture on top add remaining cheese, top with jalapeno. Bake for 40 min or until hot and cheese is melted. Serve with tortilla chips if desired.
Nick LOVED this. He couldn't stop talking about how good it was. He said he wants it to be a dinner staple. I'm glad I didn't use 2 cans of soup, it would have been too much IMO. It was really easy to put together, too. I'll let you know how left overs are this afternoon :-)
I'm sorry Kasa. Thoughts and prayers sent your way.
Wop - I have been wanting to try that cheesy brat stew (?) you posted the other day. The name sounds delicious. I haven't even checked out the ingrediants yet, but I figure you can't go wrong with any recipe that has cheesy + brat in the title.
I am going to be a solicitation whore for a second, I hope you don't mind.
Vote for T

I think it's funny that 20 people of FB "like" it, but he only has 7 votes. Hah.
Oh yum. Love that one! Be sure to cut your potatoes on the smaller side. If they're too big they take longer to cook, and they're harder to eat.
I actually think I have that on my menu list for next week. I can't wait!
Done!
I'm sorry to hear that. I hope the chemo goes well.
Thanks so much!
Awww, prayers for JuliD and Kasa
And, I love the third makeup pouch...link, please?
Well, I dyed my hair red and got a new kitty yesterday

I voted and liked -- i'll see if it'll let me vote again from work.
I'm so sorry about your grandpa. It's hard to hear news like that.
I hope Toby is doing better soon, and that Toby and family have a relativly good recovery!.
Thanks Laura
Last night I was running some errands for my mom and decided to pick up some job applications for seasonal retail help. I figure I can earn $200/week without it messing up the unemployment, so why not? It'll get me out of the house and stuff..
I got home and started feeling them out. For the job sections, I really don't want to put my salary down. I'm assuming it's ok to leave that blank.
Done
I'm sure it's fine. When is your UE going to start officially?
probably not for a month or so. i'm still working right now. i have a small project, a medium project, and a large project.
Then it's peace out!!
I think they're somewhat banking on me getting the job I interview for tomorrow.
I hope so for obvious reasons, but also, I can finish these projects on an hourly basis - weekends and after-hours - to earn some extra cash.
If that happens, I won't take a seasonal retail job.
Thanks!
