Lia - there's a site called elfster, where you set up an account. It automatically assigns people to a secret santa, and you get an e-mail with someone's name and address.
Only your secret santa (and the organizer) can see your address. There's a chat board feature on there, and you can set up a wish list. I think our limit last year was $20, maybe $15.

did you guys do this in the past? is there a price limit? do we pick off of peoples registries? how does this work?

Through Elfster I know you can sign up and make a group private. I think the person in charge can generate everyone's info and it will assign someone to give a gift to someone else. Only your SS will see your address. You can create a wish list on there too.
I guess once we have enough people we should figure out a price limit and a ship-by date.
