Re: What is MM?
Of course. Look at them, they bought party hats and blowers just to clip coupons. Foolish, wasteful ladies. Pumpkin clearly gets her hair professionally colored, and Chompers is too busy mugging for the camera to even think about pitching in. She's not even looking at the coupons or helping to sort them. There's no hope for either of them.
Everyone knows that reusing bags is MM, as is stealing carrots from a public garden. And playing Monopoly with money you handmade on a home printer is the most MM option of all. You made a DIY craft project for the kids, you're teaching financial responsibility, and you're enjoying family bonding time. This one was too easy.
OMG. I am so glad the OP asked this question again so we could have this thread.
I forgot my post!
You guys are wrong.
It was C. It was a trick trick question.
It was in fact Pinkie's birthday (hence the party hats). Instead of taking her out to a nice dinner, Tangerine dosed her with a heady concoction of Charles Shaw Chardonnay Reserve and Valium from her personal stash and suggested they spend the evening going through months of newspapers to clip coupons before shopping for a delectable birthday dinner of Kellogg's Nut and Honey, Dinty Moore beef stew, and a frozen box of Green Giant Broccoli with Cheese Sauce. Because it was triple coupon Thursday and she had various Catalina coupons, extra points, a reusable bag allowance, and 16 cans of Diet Coke for the recycling machine, the birthday dinner ended up making them $32.00. Pinkie woke up the next day with a huge hangover and coupons for Palmolive dish detergent jammed in her 7 for all Mankind jeans (that she found at the Salvation Army, of course).
So what is the correct answer?
I stand by my original answer that a coupon party is wasteful.
That woman is wasting a lot of fabric on her clothes. I could make 4 outfits out of that fabric. *snicker*
You had me at Dinty Moore.
I saw opened this earlier, but it only got better with time. Thank you.
Best thread I've read in months!!!
Oh, and to interject a moment of serious contribution (boring I know), I read "that wasn't very MM" as "that wasn't very money-minded."
When I ask for MM party decorations, I'm asking for money-minded, aka CHEAP.
This is the best thread on the interwebs.
10yearstogether was here.
Insom - marry me.
Volenti - you can be my mistress.
They should make this one of those permanent post at the top of the board, like the FAQ.
My Blog
good idea
This is the first time I've read it too. Awesome!
I missed it as well.
I am finding I missed a lot this year....
seems appropriate with the existential question "what is MM?"
Make that 3 times for me.
NQB, I owe you big time for linking this
