Baby Poll....

Re: Baby Poll....

  • I'm a planner so I'd probably want to find out.  If DH really wanted to wait, though, I would.  I think it's fun to wait, but I'm like everyone else -- I would want to decorate & buy appropriate stuff.  It's a lot harder to choose and buy things and decorate AFTER you give birth and you have a baby to deal with.

Also - I asked DH and he would hardly tell me his answer "because it's so far away and his answer might change." Haha.....anyway, he would want to know.

  • We are finding out the gender, it's so hard to wait!  So ... we're cheating and doing an early 3d/4d gender ultrasound with a private company on Saturday.  We'll still go in for our 20wk gender ultrasound w/our doctor so we can use that as confirmation.

I definitely want to be able to focus on boy or girl names because we're having a hard time with either plus I want to get gender specific clothes and bedding.  I think it would be fun to be surprised at the birth but there's no way I could wait that long!

  • Pam, I love your idea!  A friend of a friend just did that with her family and it turned out they were having twin boys!  So there was a cake with 2 layers of blue frosting :)

I am way too much of a planner to not find out though.  I NEED to know.

Funny story though, my parents waited.  My mom was POSITIVE it was a girl, and of course my dad was just as positive it was a boy.  My birth was super complicated and my mom and I were both in terrible shape and almost died, and as they were getting us both fixed up my poor mom is in the worst shape ever, and she turned to my dad and said "told ya..." and then just passed out asleep.  haha :)

I'll let you know!  I'm excited but kind of feel like we're cheating.  Plus I saw on another forum that their early gender 3d (done at 15.5wks) was wrong!  I'll be 17wks so hopefully it's more accurate but even so, our real gender u/s will be at 20wks anyway.
