Long story short, Keith told me yesterday that he loves me and wants to work on our family. I haven't heard the words "I love you" in over 2 months and as you all know, I've definitely not heard him say he wants to work on our family. I suggested that we start by dating again, since that's how we fell in love in the first place and Keith agreed that it's worth a shot.
I'm taking a photography class the next few Monday nights, so last night Keith picked up B from daycare and took care of him for the night at our house. When I got back from my class, we had this talk and spent time cuddling and making out on the couch
I can't tell you how long it's been since I felt my husband's touch and how good it felt. Keith even told me last night how much he's missed me and Brody and the family, and he kept referring to me as his wife and him as my husband in our conversation. It might sound silly, but if I could explain the context of our conversation, it would make perfect sense.
We're going to take things slow and have a date night or a family night once a week. It also helps that I'll see him every Monday night when I get home from my photography class. That's a huge improvement over seeing him for 5 minutes during "Brody exchanges" every other week. When he was getting ready to leave last night, Keith gave me a huge hug (a real one, not just one because he felt obligated to), a kiss and said that he wants to "nip this in the bud" (referring to our marital situation).
Please keep praying and sending positive thoughts my way! It would be nice to spend the holidays as a family, even if we're just "dating" hehe

Amanda, so happy for you both.
I hope things continue to improve so you are BOTH happy in the marriage.
I am so impressed by your strength - you are amazing and you know what, this experience might have been sucky to get through, but it will make you a better person, a better wife, and a better mom. I hope the same goes for Keith - that it makes him a better person, husband, and dad.
