Hi girls! How's everyone today?
For some reason, I'm in a great mood, even though our cable and internet has been out at home (I'm going thru FB withdrawal).
I ended up voting last night and am SO happy I did. The voter book still had my old name, but I had my old DL, new DL and proof that I registered w/ my new name when I got my new DL. There's just something amazing about walking in to the polling place, casting your vote and feeling like you made a difference.
Our senate race is currently tied at 47% each, and I'm really hoping our Dem wins (our republican is trying to ban BC and abortions).
After voting, I went to the grocery store, got fixins for dinner and printed wedding pics. Went home, made dinner, went to the gym, came home, ate dinner and watched Wall Street Money Never Sleeps w/ DH. It was a great night! Hello lemon risotto w/ asparagus, I love you.
I also realized I have no friends, for none of them have ever told me about Zumba and what it is. Hello?!?! Who has two thumbs and loves to dance? THIS GIRL! I had a blast, it was great! I will definitely be returning to that gym class ![]()
This morning I'm exhausted, but drinking my lovely Starbucks (just a drip, no fatty, yummy drink). I also just noticed I'm dressed head to toe in Lane Bryant. Including my shoes, bra and purse, I'm a walking advertisement. (black trousers, grey tank, pink argyle cardy, knee high boots and polka dot bra) ![]()
What are you wearing today?
Re: Happy Wednesday!
Im completely dressed in new york & company haha!!
Black Slacks, black flats, blueish blackish blouse, black cardy!!!
Sounds like you had a fun night last nite!! Are you printing the wedding pictures yourself? I got coupons for wal greens so I went there and have to pick them up tonite 700 prints for 45.00 buck o rooosssss!! I dont have patience to wait for the photo printer! Waiting to still get pro pics should have them this weekend and then thats another 999 pictures for the love of baby jesus Im gonna need 500 albums to house this things!!
We had Chiptole last nite since DH got me sick I refused to cook! Tonite is class and left overs!
brew, let me just start by saying: i love you long time.
i love voting. it is the most patriotic thing you can do. on the other hand, i am thoroughly depressed about the red states all over the country.
I stayed up til midnight last night. WAY too late for me. And i skipped the gym bc i was feeling ill (too read about it, visit the new blog i created yesterday--shauniisagranny.blogspot.com). oh yes, did i mention i created a blog yesterday too
today i meet with my trainer at the gym. super pumped. just need to stay awake and occupied until 4:30! so glad you enjoyed zumba, i took it once and felt really uncomfortable. i am the worlds worst dancer and was self conscious the whole time.
anyway, today i am wearing all clothes from the gap/banana republic. jeans, a grey tee, a black shirt over the tee, and flats. the flats are from nordys though.
it was only 20 degrees here this am, so i wore my slippers in the car on my way to work. brrr.
Blog
I have yet to try Zumba...I have a friend who is certified to teach, but doesn't since she enjoys taking the class much better than teaching. I think I'm nervous to take a Zumba class, in all honestly, because of how "dumb" I'll look/feel - no excuse I know, but it's how I feel.
I'm wearing...
2 Lane Bryant tops (tee and cargidan/shrug thing dont know what it's really called), Lane Bryant bra, Target panties and socks, ON jeans, and Shoe Carnival slip on flats.
Ooooh, I love zumba! My work offers fitness classes here a couple of nights a week for super cheap, so I take zumba and yoga. So fun I hardly notice I'm working out! :-)
Today I'm wearing my Loft jeans, blue and white leopardish print shirt and a cute v-neck cardi from BR, and flats from DSW. It frosted last night, so I also got to wear my awesome new trench from Express! I feel like hot stuff, even if I look like death b/c I didn't want to get out of bed this morning.
I can barely form words to speak the disgust and horror I feel about the Tea Party and its supporters. I respect people who think the government is full of wasteful spending and that Washington does not listen to its constituents. I do not support puritantical morality, racism, intolerance, homophobia, misogyny and the like. It is abhorrent.
Last night I went right to my parents' for my dad's birthday dinner. It was nice. Then I went to ACME to get a cheap 17 pound butterball turkey for Thanksgiving, and then to the library to pick up some books. I also returned cake bags to AC Moore. I had a ton of those leftover from the wedding.
I got home, packed lunch and my gym bag, and watched two episodes of 16 & Pregnant on MTV. More ignorance. I got in bed at 11:15 and fell out immediately. I didn't wake up once during the night, which is very rare for me. Wooooooot.
This morning I slept in, ran the dishwasher, and shuffled off to buffalo.
So Sunday I'm hosting a little shower for my SIL. She had her son 6 years ago and gave all of her stuff to the psycho oldest sister, who in turn destroyed it. So she has nothing. I asked MIL to make coleslaw. Easy, right? She says she can't but can pick something up from the store for me. Really? You have NO time from now until Sunday at 1 p.m. to make coleslaw? Can't get up early on Sunday to do it, even though this is for your daughter? This astounds me.
My outfit leaves a lot to be desired. Black pants, forest green v-neck sweater, old black flats.
Speaking of, I cannot find a pair of black flats that I like anywhere. WTH?
I just bought a really cute pair from Express that I l-o-v-e. Wanna see? (P.S. I did not pay that much for them. I used a coupon)

And SHAUNI - your blog is hilarious! Thanks for sharing. :-)
Good Morning. I'm in a blah mood and ready for Thanksgiving break even though I think I'll be working at another job to pick up the non pay for that week and for Christmas. Helloooo PRN paycheck and good bye life.
H is taking is placement test for his GED this morning. I'm so glad he's finally getting back into school and correcting what his parents didn't let him do years ago. Go you!
I'm wearing some black slacks (ON or target) and a black target shirt and a red, black, and gray flower cardi from Target.
I am so ready for this weekend and painting the new place. Oh and we were over there cleaning the walls and all last night and our landlord walked in (he was fixing the toilet or something) and we were talking about some of the bushes and these weird, ugly looking plants. He told us he would dig them up in the morning but we went ahead and did it last night! I can't tell you how excited about gardening I am.
Ok this is way long and I have to go print crap for a meeting...yay
stephanie, well fvcking said. abhorrent is right.
sunshine, thank you
it is fun, already cant wait to write a new entry...will do it tomorrow!

How the EFF is he trying to ban BIRTH CONTROL?! I'm going to puke.
Anyway, I'm wearing a gray J Crew sweater, yellow Gap tank, and Gap skinny jeans tucked into black suede boots from Express. All of my bras are from VS, but this tank has a built-in bra so I'm not wearing one today.
The F&B board does an outfit of the day (OOT) thread daily, and people post pictures and I think it's a lot of fun to look at, but often my outfits are pretty boring.
Co-signed, me. I try not to get too political on the boards but I was seriously depressed last night. And because I'm a glutton for punishment, I watched a Sarah Palin interview...and wanted to die.
Good morning ladies! I'm not wearing anything fancy today. Black dress pants, a black tank top and a black and white striped cardigan/overshirt. I try to dress as casual as possible without getting in trouble for being casual
.
I would also love to try Zumba but am afraid because I can't dance at all. I took a hip hop aerobics class once and felt like a fool but I enjoyed it, so maybe Zumba is something I will have to try anyway.
Last night we had supper then visited with BIL and his GF, it was a pretty relaxing night. This week seems to be taking forever to me! On a good note, we finally get to go on our honeymoon one month from tomorrow!
Laura-I know right?!?! AND the fact that the race is so close BLOWS MY MIND! He might have also had something on his platform about anti-fertility drugs. Hello, you're killing me right now...
Shauni-LOVE the blog, it has been bookmarked
All you girlies who can't Zumba/dance-it doesn't matter! There were old grannies rocking the hip hop moves and young girls who couldn't find the beat to save their lives. But everyone was having fun and sweating their assses off (literally).
I'm also a happy clam, cuz I'm having lunch w/ my bestie and then tonight is our first weekly girls poker night. Bring on the check-raises!
I am just trying to wrap my head around it. How can you ban birth control?! It's ridiculous. The more I think about it, the angrier I get. I sincerely hope that race gets sorted out fast, and that that guy goes down in flames.
I am starting to understand political assassinations.
Heh.
ETA: Is that guy up there laughing or yawning? I thought he was laughing, but now the more I look at it the more it looks like a yawn...
No, I was just laughing b/c I get where you're coming from. Not that I would kill anyone either, but I know the feeling...
I am actually pulling for her to run in the next presidential election either for the Rs or as a third party entrant. She will take them all down in the polls while starring in her own personal sh&tshow.
Initially I felt that way, because most of the people I knew who were McCain supporters bailed after he announced Palin as his running mate. However, there are far more Palin supporters than I could ever imagine, and her endorsement seems to have worked in some states (despite backfiring in others). I am genuinely afraid that she might win. I have read far too many comments on political articles/blogs in support of her, and I saw the massive amount of people at her Tea Party speech going nuts with love for her....so I am terrified and I don't want to run the risk.
No kidding. My entire family looooves her. It's actually pretty infuriating to me. I can't stand talking to them about it b/c I just get irrationally mad. I guess to be fair, they all live in the mid-west in the middle of the right winged Bible belt, so I consider them all a little brainwashed.
They'd vote for the most ridiculous schit on Earth just to avoid voting dem. Mind blowing.
I'm happy with our (CA) election results. Unfortunately prop 19 did not pass. Prop 19 was for the legalization and taxation of marijuana. I think people were afraid that you would be openly allowed to smoke in public, and that anyone would be able to purchase it, but that was not the case.
Anyhow, I am wearing my BCBG hoodie, DKNY shirt, jeans from Kohls, and some super cute Adida's. Even though I say I hate my job, I love how comfortably I can dress.
