I'm sorry girls for being such a lurker as of late. Sept and Oct are busiest time of year bc of budgeting for the new year so i didn't have much time to nest during the day. Things are slowing down, so I should be on more.
Things I neglected to discuss (bc I'm a superstitious freak) is that we started TTC in the summer. Between a some of our friends and family who have had trouble and what some of you had faced/are facing... I had started to get myself worked up that it wasn't going to be easypeasyjapanesey. After a 2 failed attempts I started getting irrationally (keyword) depressed about it and tried to avoid reading baby blogs and posts for a few months because I was questioning my fertility too much. I'm sorry if that is completely immature, but I just felt it was mentally healthier for me to focus on fluff like F&B than becoming obsessed with GP.
Well long story short... obviously you may realize where this is going.... I BFP yesterday. It was a complete shock as I started spotting on CD 26 (I'm norm a 28day cycle) and thought AF was coming... it lasted for 3 days and stopped. I thought AF was going to come for real yesterday CD32 bc last month I had a late cycle (stressed related).

it's been one day... I'm super scared to tell anyone. I decided to post over there since I was lurking, but then didnt feel it was fair I posted there, but not here (you my girls!). I'm still going to keep quiet on F&B and my blog (our parents don't know) so I'd be super appreciative if those of you on FB can keep quiet.... I'm only 4wks and 4 days and just hoping this is "real"....
First doc appt is 12/1 at 8 weeks. I picked up WTEWYE this morning... any other advice is completely welcome....

Awww, congrats Erinn! That is awesome news! I can totally understand where you're coming from. We plan on starting to TTC in a couple months and I have freaked out that we'll have problems and it will take a long time. Unfortunately, I stressed DH out that way too.

HAHA! I thought to myself.. well, i hope it's just babY haha...
and no it wasn't you at all MO!... it was just a mixture of things. My sister in law had trouble, and a few of our friends did too (and yeah, lurking on GP wasn't the smartest idea)... I think a lot of it was that it seemed like a lot of people were announcing their pregnancies (and a few are about to pop), and while I was/am sooo thrilled for them, it's also hard not to look at yourself and say "why not me yet" - as I'm sure so many experienced/are experiencing. I tend to be a person who when I get into something, I get into something... be wedding planning, shopping (hehe), and then getting pregnant - generally OCD... like Sykes said I was stressing Pete out with all my "we need to do this and that" etc and it was taking out all the fun. I mean I was worked up and had myself convinced it would take forever before we even were seriously trying for real which was around june/july... so those first few months of seeing AF just kinda feeded my negative attitude... i just had to pull away from being consumed.
...and now I sound psychotic

So happy for you! And one of the random facts I remember about you is that you have saved empire waist type shirts for any future pregnancies. So yay for being able to pull those out

Hysterical... you know I haven't thought about the tops yet! I do have some jeans in largers sizes that I haven't worn since college that I've held on too and I thought about those, but not the tops... awesome
