Re: Clicky poll: grocery stores

  • Almost always Cub, I know the maple grove location like the back of my hand!!! I go to Lunds/Byerlys when I need lefse/Lefsa or when buying sea food (my BIL is a butcher there and we get % off)!!!!

  • I do a majority of my shopping at Rainbow on Wednesdays or Saturdays so I can double my coupons and I check out online shopping lists at www.pocketyourdollars.com and get some sweet deals. Routinely my receipt says I saved more than my total bill turned out to be. I do some shopping at Target and Cub as well for the deals, like today I stocked up on a few items that are good to have on hand and my target bill was 53 cents compared to around $22 when she first gave me my total. I am hooked on this couponing thing, it's worth my time when I am routinely saving this kind of money.

  • Agreed with dawnmarie. My bro works at a Chicago Trader Joes and the illusion is that the company treats employees like rockstars and it has great benefits...not so. He said it's gone so far down hill in the last year that half his store quit and went to a co-op down the street.

Sad because we get lots of our gluten free products from them and I hate paying more for it at Fresh & Natural/Whole Foods.

I'm in River Falls and sadly we're stuck with Econofoods, which I hate because pretty much every single time we go they're out of at least one thing we need

Ugh, this would be so irritating!! I feel for you, I had this where I used to shop.

Me too.  We do buy most of our meat at Sam's or Festival though.

For the people that use Coburns, can you tell me a little more? The site says they accept manufacturer coupons. Do you just enter the codes online or give them to the driver? Have there been items you can't get through them? Do the containers really keep everything frozen/fresh if you aren't home when they deliver?

I've been thinking about talking to DH about it. With the twins coming, I think it may be easier to let someone else just deliver the groceries. But we also have to be budget conscious.

Yes they accept all manufacturer coupons.  You just enter the amount of the coupon and then leave the coupons by the door.  They also have coupons and lots of deals weekly.  If you want I can e-mail you a link and you'd save $20 off your first order.

That would be great! The email you can use is jenwithy@gmail.com

    Thanks!

I sent you the refer a friend.  If you don't get it let me know.  When you place your first order you should get a $20 credit at check out and I get a credit too.  If you have any other questions about Coborns let me know.  We have been ordering for about two years it has been great!

  • That is really hard to answer we have 3 that we shop in every week. WE actually travel 45 minutes to our fav store becasue we are in that area anyway and the prices are on some items 10 cents cheaper per can. We have 2 stores at home that we shop in every week also.
