Re: Unpopular opinions
Totally agree. In fact, my friend's younger sister and I were arguing about this last night. She thinks Taylor is gorgeous.
I think (I know) she is being sarcastic.
I kinda thought she must be joking, but I also didn't want to touch that with a ten-foot pole.
In the case of the Duggars, even if they can financially afford all those children I do not think each and everyone of those children's emotional needs are getting met (at least not by their parents). One episode Jordyn was pulling on Michelle's skirt trying to say something and her mom was like "Go ask Jana". Yes, she said it in a nice and calm voice but I think the older girls and raising the younger kids more than the parents actually raise them. I think the Duggars would be up shiz creek without a paddle if the oldest 4 girls said peace out we are going to school/mission/get married and they would be left with all those kids.
Last week Anna was all finger snapping about yeah she's driving a Hummer but her baby wears cloth diapers so her carbon footprint is smaller than your kid in a sposie *finger snaps*. Chick you want to talk about how many landfills your ILs diapers are polluting?? The Duggars constantly use paper plates/cups/napkins/disposible diapers. Carbon footprint that!
I enjoy watching their show and I think they are good people who do good things for others but I think they have left their kids at a disadvantage.
I am very grateful to programs that advocate helping others. I don't moan/complain because I know that while there are some that abuse the system, there are many that DO NOT. My concern are for the children, let us think of them when we view moms within the system. It is rather easy to look to others as problems and not see that in the end, we can assist.
I'm a big Taylor Swift fan! I agree that her voice isn't amazing, but I really like that she writes all of her own songs, unlike so many artists these days.

Could not agree more.
Anyone else find it hilariously ironic that we're discussing this myth that poor people don't work hard, which has been posted on a message board during work hours?
I'm not a HUGE fan, but I like her. I don't think she's absolutely terrible... there are others that are worse. And, I really, really like that she writes all of her own stuff.
Hahahaha!

Seriously. At my "real" job where I make a decent salary, I sit on my butt most of the time and work/nest/joke around. At my second job where I make just over minimum wage, I'm on my feet the whole time, running around and can't even text anyone.
I
: the Duggars. I really do. I think their children are incredibly well behaved children and I feel they will make wonderful, well rounded adults when they grow up.
And I just knew Josh and Anna were expecting!! When they did their large group family shot a few weeks ago, I could have sworn it looked like she had a bump under there! Yea for them!
I really like the Duggars, also.
I guess my unpopular opinion is that I think bashing them for their carbon footprint is dumb. Yea, they have a lot of kids, but who are you to say it's irresponsible? H and I were talking about this...none of their kids have their own cars, I think (Except Josh, now). If you were to divide up the Duggars into groups of 4 representing the 'average American family', each group would probably have 2-3 cars. They don't have that many cars, and yea they use that huge bus, but isn't that like public transit? Which is being promoted to help reduce carbon emissions? I know that's just one aspect, but it's my unpopular opinion, I suppose.
I am not on a high horse and I am speaking about the people who are taking advantage of the system not the ones who really need it! Yes I do understand that for some it is a must but there are a ton of people who live off of it. In your moms case I can see she was not and that was a last resort for her. I think I may of kind of explained that in another post and I do know I explained in another post they type of people that pi$$ me off and I am sure your moms case was not in there!
