Re: really awesome house for sale near St Paul

first thought: WTF
second thought: A flinstone house!
This is what I thought too! lol
This. And, for the record, Minnetrista is no where near St. Paul as it is northwest of Lake Minnetonka.

It is original and it would need very original buyers. It isn't my thing, and I wouldn't even bother. I saw this a few weeks ago. The outside reminds me of an alien ship.
BTW, Minnetrista is no where near St. Paul.
HA, I was going to say the same thing! There is no way I would want to live in that house!

No thanks. It looks like a house for trolls, at least on the outside. The Swiss cheese analogy is pretty good for the inside of the house.
If the location was a little closer to Lake Minnetonka, I'm sure someone would have bought it in a minute, just to tear down the house and rebuild something else more normal.
And Minnetrista is about 35 miles from St. Paul ... not that close. Minnetrista is pretty far out, I'm not sure it would even be called a Twin Cities suburb.

As someone who designs houses I respect its different-ness, but I wouldn't want to live there.
(Who else thinks this post is crazy random? Hmm.)
It looks like a giant house-sized wad of nasty gum that has been trod on by 1000 people and then stretched across an igloo or structure carved out whale bones.
Not something I'd want to live in. Nothing about it looks welcoming or appealing.
duplictate post
My, that is certainly....descriptive!
A crazy house warrants a crazy description, does it not?
The Flintstone House comment was also spot on!
I actually know this house, it looks like a hobbit house.
Also Minnetrista is not near St. Paul.
Yes, this is very weird...

It made me giggle - and then scroll back to see just how many people made comments of the proximity. And yes, I agree that it hasn't been said enough - because apparently the closeness (or lack there of) of a location is inversely correlated to the number of times people say it isn't close.

My first reaction was, "poorly disguised post from realtor selling the ugly house".
What pp said - exactly.
Hmmm ... makes sense to me. I can't imagine who would really think the Flintstone / troll / hobbit / Swiss cheese house is "really awesome" other than the person trying to sell it.
Then again, the realtor would know that Minnetrista isn't near St. Paul (not to bring up the location issue again ... sorry Melinda).

I kinda like it - but would never ever consider buying it.
I can't believe it is made of foam!
And how close it is to St Paul rather than Minneapolis!
Actually, I think it is a really awesome house. If I had $212,000 to burn and was in early retirement I would like to live there. Although? I like original looking houses. Hobbit houses are the best, but this does look like a troll house.
And, if I was a realtor posting this I would screw up the location ? one more people would open it to see what kind of weird house was in St Paul and they wouldn?t suspect me of posting it since I got the location wrong. However, I think I will send this link to my friends family just cause it is cool so it is likely they are just passing on something neat to the ?locals?.
