Did anyone else watch the GR downtown Christmas Parade? (not sure what they called it) I thought it was cute. Nothing to compare to the Macy's parade, but it was entertaining. Side note about the parade: I don't know what was wrong with me, but some parts made me tear up. Not sure why.
Re: Good Morning!
I'm pretty sure this week is going to be insane at work. I'm going to try really hard to keep a positive attitude and remain calm.
Good morning! Your baking sounds delicious, Wop!
I only have a two-day work week this week and I'm very excited about that.
I'm a little jealous of your time off. I only have Thursday off
Yum!
I have been trying to cook more. I made upside down chicken pot pie last week, and last night I made a baked ziti.
The ziti was better than the pot pie, but both were things I never made before. I think H appreciates something new and different. I know I do - I am bored with the same things we eat over and over.
Good Morning!
We watched the end of it. My 2yo loved to march along with the bands, it was really cute. We are headed to Detroit, Wednesday night to see their parade Thursday.
I have 4 days worth of junk and debris to clean up from my house. Ugh. You would think I would learn that going on strike doesn't work out in my benefit at all.
Good Job. What do you do.
I also worked out yesterday and did rowing for the 1st time. I did 2000 meters which is also what DH swam yesterday.
I'm still a bit tired this morning. I slept pretty hard but my eyes still want to close on me. It's going to be a warm day with highs in the 60's. I love how Michigan weather likes to do this to us. Give us a little hope of nice weather before she B!tch slaps us with bitter cold wintery weather.
I also started a wish list on Amazon. Do you guys give wish list to DH and/or parents?
Thanks for the laugh this morning! I was shocked at how warm it was when I let the dogs out! We moved here from Minneapolis and they had 11 inches of snow a week ago and today there is black ice all over the road (I still work for the MN company so I get updates from my co-workers) I am trying not to be smug bc I know we will get something like 20 inches of snow if I start taunting people.
I don't use Wish Lists for myself but my brother and SIL use it for my niece on the American Girl doll site. Sooooo much easier to shop when you know what she has and what she wants!
MrsW, there are a couple of other people on this board originally from Minnesota too!
Deeder, both my parents and my inlaws require wish lists prior to Christmas shopping. I'm not a fan, personally.
I saw that. We recently bought the BuyWinesDirect.com groupon. It was an awesome deal.
mmmm, wine,
I've used groupon and hopindeals in the past. They can come in handy. Today's Groupon is pretty tempting.
We are actually from Chicago (me) and Northern MI (DH) but both ended up in MN because of ex-spouses. I think we will always have a special place in our hearts for Minneapolis since we met and fell in love there!
Just was wondering - do you do wish lists for yourself or your kids (if you have any)? My SIL seemed annoyed I asked for the American Girl one but, coming from an aunt who breaks into hives in that store, I needed direction!!
I don't have kids, so I do a wish list for myself (as mandated by our parents).
I think it's perfectly reasonable to ask for an American Girl list from your SIL. Something like that, you certainly wouldn't want to get your niece one that she already has.
Go you!
Enjoy the endorphins.

I've had an Amazon list for years! And I add to it almost every day. It's more a place for me to store things I like, rather than a list to hand out at Christmas and my birthday. My family is aware that it exists, but it's more for my sanity and the convenience of free shipping
than a "buy me this!" thing.
I love that I can create sublists, so I made one for DS. It's hard to remember all the things I want to buy him, or the names of things that people on other mom sites have recommended. This way, I quick add it to the list since I'm already on the computer, and I don't have to take up space in my brain trying to recall it all when I need to.

I'm from MPLS too!
We do Amazon wish lists with XN's family members who live out west. It makes it easier, since we don't see them too often, to find things they'd really like, or to ship gifts if we don't see them for the holidays.
I think I'm going to do that Nordstrom Rack groupon today. I'm in need of some new sweaters...
My aunt gave me an old treadmill that has been sitting in her garage for a while. I walked and ran for almost an hour. I need to get into shape! I want to do a 5k in the spring, and I'd like to be able to finish it in under an hour. LOL...I'm slow.
You can do it! Riverbank Run has a 5K...

Good Afternoon!
Congrats on getting moving D&M - starting is the hardest part of any workout routine so kudos to you. :-)
Wop your food sounds delicious. I baked some Morning Glory muffins and they turned out okay - I was going for something healthier so I guess they are what I expected.
3 day week here - plus I'm on 8 hour days instead of 10 so that makes things go more quickly. Plus work has been busy!
And I've never done an Amazon wish list. But I'm intrigued.
Do you run that one?
I asked my H to run one with me this morning, and I was prepared to beg but he agreed immediately. Squee. I definitely don't want to do one alone!
Do you run the Seaway run? I'm thinking I'm going to do my first race in Muskegon.
I haven't run a race since high school track. I wish I could still run as fast as I could when I was in high school! My PR for the 1-mile was 6:25. I think it took me 17 minutes last night (I wasn't really trying, though....but still! Ha.)
