DH is 26 and I'm 27. I turn 28 next month though, so we are about 15 months apart.
About 4 1/2 years. I'm 28 (29 in Jan) and DH is 33
Only 4 months. I'm older.
We've gone to school together since 7th grade

4 days for us! DH is May 4th and I'm May 9th.

Well, it's a pretty special story...
We have known each other since we were 12 years old. We went to middle school, high school, and college together but never dated then. He had a crush on me in HS, but he was too quiet and shy for me at the time. I was attracted to the jerks who treated me poorly. But God had a plan for us!
We actually lost contact for several years after college and then one day back in '07 I was hanging out with a mutual friend in Orlando (where I was living at the time) and he said "I need to call Chavis and wish him a happy birthday this week". I said, "Oh yeah! I remember Chavis. You should give me his number and I will surprise him and call him for his birthday". We talked for hours and made arrangements for dinner the following week when I would be in town. We completely hit it off! A month later, I got a job offer back in our hometown (where he was now living) completely out of the blue. I just knew it was meant to be!
We've been together ever since and I can truly say that I am married to my best friend.

Yep! We've figure our that when we turn 26 in 2012, we'll have been together half of our lives (aka 13 yrs)! CRAZINESS!

Bre2Be - as I was reading that, I remembered your story. That's such an amazing story to tell and I'm sure your children will love you to tell it over and over once they're old enough to appreciate it!!

Yeah, it's a great story because it just goes to show you that "fairy tales" really do exist. The wildest part is I had 2 very distinct dreams about him before we talked. I just couldn't shake them from my memory. Both times, after I woke up I had such a feeling of peace and that is really what made me want to call him even more. Good thing God gave me the nudge!
I can't wait to share our story with our kids one day!

I know there's a few of us; I remember a similar post over on TK a while back.
There are four months a year where I'm only six years older! I turned 37 in September and he turned 30 (finally!) in April and I said when we got our marriage license I wish we'd done it before my bday so it would say 36 and 30. Like it really matters! Haha. I really only notice it when it's in writing, like on the license and certificate, and when it comes to the "how old were you when ..." questions. Then we realize I was in college when he was in sixth grade and that's a little gross. LOL
ewwww!! hahah na, that's funny though! How old were you two when you started dating??
