Re: What's the age gap..?
my read shelf:
6 years, a month, and 5 days
Cradle robber here... I am 5 and a half years older than my DH. But he is balding so we look the same age
. When we met, I was 29 and he was 23.
I did used to teach school in our hometown, if i taught 12th grade, I could have been his teacher!
My mom was his second grade teacher, and my first "love" is his best friends older brother.
I'm a baby, and I joke he is an old man.
I just turned 23 and DH will be 31 in a few weeks!
23 years.
I met my hubby when I was 23 and he was 46. It isn't for everyone, but it works for us. We had been together for 8 years before we got married and knew it was the right decision for us.
In the beginning people would make assumptions about our relationship, but I haven't heard anything about it in a long time.
As H says: I was born grown up so I'm mentally older than him. LOL

Planning Bio
All new married bio!
He's 42 and I will be 31 in a week.
Good part is that I grew up in an area that was about 10 years behind the times, so we know a lot of the same music and movies and stuff. There are movies that he's seen and is shocked that I never saw them, and vice versa. It's fun - he introduced me to Animal House and Caddyshack, while I introduced him to ET and the Princess Bride!
Loving all the craddle robbers
I love reading all of these. It's so interesting to me to see what works for everyone.
MARRIED 10.10.10 !!

My Planning Bio
I'm 1973 -he is 1984...
DH is a little more than 10 years older than I am. Some people think it is a lot, but it works for us. I am 36 and he is 47. For some reason, I feel like if he was 57 and it was a little more than a 20 year difference it might feel odd.
My parents are 2 months apart. They "dated" off and on from seventh grade until getting married at about age 22. Is it really dating in seventh grade? Anyway, they have been happily married over 40 years.
Hubby and I are just over 5 years apart. He was born Dec 1983 and I was Dec 1988. We'd known each other since I was 16. He was actually a leader at the youth group I attended, but besides the little crush I had on him, and him thinking I was pretty cute, nothing romantic occured until I was 18. We started dating the day I graduated highschool (long story) and got married 3 days after I turned 19. When people make comments about him being a cradled robber, and his response is always "Some cradles are worth robbing." It is never really a problem for us, except before I turned 21 there were a couple times where some of his friends from highschool were in town and wanted to meet up at a bar and I couldn't go. No problem now. We're coming up on 3 years this December and loving every minute of it.
