So glad someone is in my boat. David is 25 and I just turned 35 in November. He turns 26 in June of '11, so we will only have a few brief months to say we are decade of age.

For us, its no big deal. We don't really think about it. He is very mature for his age and we just "make sense" together.

You are all so young. We are 11 months apart. About 4 weeks after the wedding we had a party at the house for his 1/2 century mark. So not only was i planning a wedding and reception but also a birthday party.

I met my hubby when I was 23 and he was 46. It isn't for everyone, but it works for us. We had been together for 8 years before we got married and knew it was the right decision for us.

In the beginning people would make assumptions about our relationship, but I haven't heard anything about it in a long time.

As H says: I was born grown up so I'm mentally older than him. LOL

If I had an award for the Age Difference, it's looking like I'd be giving it to You! Drinks This is our largest gap so far.. though a few are not too far behind ya!

I really only notice it when it's in writing, like on the license and certificate, and when it comes to the "how old were you when ..." questions. Then we realize I was in college when he was in sixth grade and that's a little gross. LOL

HaHa! I love the "how old you were when" questions! I'm a cradle robber too but I've got 11 1/2 years on my husband. I'm 37 and he's 26. Most people think he looks older than me. I hardly ever notice it. It only comes up when we are talking about pop culture in the 70s or early eighties and those how old were you moments.

Haha! I love those "how old were you when" questions. I'm a cradle robber too but I have 11 1/2 years on my DH. I'm 37 and he's 26. The only time I really realize it is when we are talking about pop culture of the 70s and early 80s or those "how old were you when" questions.

I think I take the "biggest age gap" trophy...I'm 37, FI (DH in 10 days!) is 58, so there's a 21-year age gap. Yes, he's older than my dad, by 9 months. Some of our friends joke that he bought the bar a round the night I was born.
Truth be told, we never formally started "dating". We had been working closely together when I started going to the church he attended after I moved back to Kansas City from Oklahoma, and attraction developed from there. He looks younger than he is, and he assumed, since I had older teenagers (my daughters were almost 16 and 14 at the time), that I must be older than I look. By the time we started discussing our feelings for each other, the age difference was pretty much irrelevant. It doesn't bother us in the least, and honestly, we only notice it when he says "hey, do you remember (insert TV show name here)?" and I say "Omigosh, I love that show! I used to watch it all the time on Nick at Nite!"

Nice to see another big age gap. I'm 22 and James is 42 so that makes a 20 year age gap and yep he looks younger than that (just look at my profile) lol. Age didn't matter. We are compatible and love each other's company. With so many things in common, age rarely comes up.

We often laugh because my husband was born with gray and is very gray at his ripe age of 46, where as I look much younger than 36. We get stares and play it up by kissing and loving on each other!

Our gap is 5 days. DH's is only 5 days older, but he likes to hold it over my head.

I was wondering how a post suddenly had so many posts and views but I see that it's old. So late to respond but...

DH is 3 1/2 years older than me. We also both have birthdays that fall on national holidays every so often, his Memorial Day, and mine on Thanksgiving. This Thanksgiving will be my 30th birthday so we will both be in the same decade again.
