Re: Speaking of baby names
Yes! One of the girls I work with has twin boys and she can easily tell them apart. If you put them in front of me and asked me who was who I couldn't tell you. If I do end up with same sex twins I'll have to keep them dressed in different colors until I can tell a difference in their personalities lol.
The only time I have ever had an issue was when they were sleeping. I could always tell them apart when they were awake!
Ooooh, I love talking about baby names!
For a girl we're set on Scout Emma- Scout from To Kill a Mockingbird and Emma was my great grandma's name.
For a boy we like Oliver David- David is FIL name and Oliver we just like!
I also like the names Vivienne, Jackson, Linus, and Lucy. I feel like I want to have a whole mess of kids just to name them all!
I'm afraid of going to the bump when we're expecting- I just know I'm going to get side eyed for naming my little girl Scout! haha
I have identical twin cousins-- boys. They're freshmen in college now. They never dressed alike, so what you did when you got to the family get-together was collar one, say "which one are you?," and then remember which shirt he had on.
The really funny part is that Matt can't ever remember whose kids they are (it's a big family), but he has a higher success rate at guessing which twin is which than I do!
One of the girls that worked at my dad's office was dating a twin. Him and his brother got the same tattoos on opposite arms so when they look at each other it's like looking in a mirror. Weird.
Kevin and I have decided on boy names... that one was actually pretty easy and we've got a few.
It's girl names we disagree on... CONSTANTLY. He shoots down like seriously every name that I like! Grrrr. We've been going back and forth over two names for quite some time now. I'm not ready to concede.
So I'm weird. I totally thought about baby names all the time before we got married. I even started a "Baby Names" document in Word. Now that we're married I don't think about it ever. Isn't that crazy?!? Anyway, I just pulled up my old document and I still love a lot of the names. I like preppy and/or southern names.
A few from my "boy" list: Landon, Gavin, Cameron, Connor, Carter, Blake, Carson, Luke, Chase, Ryan, Mason, Alexander, Noah, Logan, Nathaniel, Hunter, Jackson
A few from my "girl" list: Madison, Grace, Taylor, Hailey (WOO HAYLEY), Bailey, Kaylee, Kaelin, Mackenzie, Riley, Kylie, Kelsey, Emma, Harper, Addison (actually my great grandfather's name), Charlotte
I think I said this in a previous baby name post, but DH mentioned (possibly jokingly?) the name "Colt" for a boy because some sports announcer or player or something is has that name. It's grown on me....
I love the name Riley for a girl =]
My husband is an identical twin. One of my gf's just had identical twin boys and a girl I went to HS with just had fraternal twins (one boy and one girl).
I like hearing people's name ideas. :-)
Kevin has a little sister named Rylee and she's the coolest!
Hhhmm I'm gonna have to run this one by HH lol
Lucy is my name!!
