I would like to know more about Kristen's cookie exchange drama! That sounds interesting.
Every now and then I make a half-hearted attempt to join in on the San Diego Bump board because I feel like I should have some local "mom" friends or something, but it's so slow (like, two posts a week slow) and people only show up to ask for OB/Pediatrician recs.
Since coming back from maternity leave there are a lot of times when the top 8 or 9 posts on the board are all either posted by me or have me as the last responder, and I often feel like I'm on the verge of going all post-whorey. I think that's more because things are slow around here than because I'm an actual PW. I think. If I get annoyingly PWish please let me know.

i feel like a post killer lately, but it seems that no one has anything to say anyways.
So this chick posted that she was pissed that her husband's grandparents were serving a Bob Evans carryout Thanksgiving dinner. We're talking full on F-bomb explosion, it's so insulting, complete with her embarrassment that her daughter would have to eat such a meal for the holiday. Just made her sick inside. Never mind that we're talking about her husband's grandparents. They must be old and tired, cut them a break and just enjoy that they are able to spend time with the family. Not to mention based. on her previous posts, I'd assume Bob Evans was a fancy night out for her. So her post was not well received and she got super defensive. Didn't make herself any friends but continues to post, which as you all know in internet land means every post of hers gets picked to pieces.
I asked her about the shameful Thanksgiving on Wednesday and all kinds of heck broke loose, so I guess that means I'm a candidate for her facebook status that night "some day, i fully intend to tell you how much of a cvnt you are to your face." LOL.
This all culminates with our board's cookie exchange this Saturday, there's about 30 girls coming. (I know, I still can't believe I participate in these events after my refusal to meet internet people for so long) Several dropped out as they think she's crazy. Other people asked her not to come, but she insists.
I'm fashioning a shiv out of a plastic fork and hoping for the best.
And not eating her cookies.
I love that whole story.
It's not Babbs, is it? She likes to make passive-aggressive FB posts as a way to deal with the nest.
Ok, I am a weirdo and searched for the Bob Evans post. I am literally in tears. Why do these stories always have crazy details, like "yesterday, we saw dh's grandparents and parents to get some new chairs for the grandparents." Huh? Do the parents own a chair store? Who was getting the chairs? What kids of chairs?

While I'm sharing, there's another girl on our local who is dumb as dirt and thinks the only punctuation mark worth using is the exclamation point. And the LOL. Here's maybe the best line of the year from her:

I've been floating in limbo reading from my phone. It's usually such a pain in the butt to respond on that thing, so I make mental notes to chime in once I'm back on my computer. But then the posts are usually dead by the time I'm sitting over here and I feel dumb adding to them unless I have something earth shattering to share.
So, on my phone, I beebop between CN, ML, and 3rd tri.
It amazes me how much I hate the bump. I loathe everyone.
I'm here, though I like to read ML and occassionally comment. I also like Buying a Home, but I find some of the posts there to be stupid.
For today, I'm going to read Kristen's local saga.
