Re: How was your weekend?
We saw santa for the second time in 2 weeks. Liza advised him that she wanted a pillow pet.
Husbands should be like Kleenex: Soft, strong, and disposable.
I bet her FUPA's name is Shane, like the gunslinger/drifter of literature.--HappyTummy
Don't even talk to me about potty training. My kid loves pooping her pants apparently.
Owen is just a mama's boy through and through. He won't comfort at night by Mike, it has to be me. Some of that comforting involves cramming his wittle fingers up my nose.
As for my weekend, it was good. Shopping, cookie exchanging (Mike says my friends aren't very good bakers-I think I'd rather do a cookie exchange with you ladies), cooking. Being cold. Sitting in traffic for two hours at 11 PM on Saturday night thanks to slick roads. Owen learned to pull himself to standing.

My weekend was busy but good. Friday night I had dinner with a friend from Seattle (yay!).
Saturday I got up at 4:30 AM (decidedly NOT yay!) and drove to Tulsa so I could run a 10k with my sister. Then we had a late-makeup-for-Thanksgiving dinner at my sister's in-laws (my sister's MIL babysat during the race because that's her way of coping with the fact that my sister and BIL will not be giving her grandchildren). Afterwards, I tried unsuccessfully to convince my son that it is NOT fun to want to go up and down the stairs at my sister's eleventy billion times and insist that Mom come with you each time. Mommy's legs hurt, yo.
Sunday we chilled at my sister's house for a little while, visited my other sister for a while, and did some shopping. After the 2 hour drive home, we watched cartoons and played with a remote control car all evening. The end.
Also, on the potty training topic, I think I'm ready to officially declare my kiddo done. He even usually stays dry at night now. Woot woot!
So THAT'S why she carries underwear in her jacket pocket!
11/11/11 = 5 years. Woah!
Ugh, I'm sorry, Sam, that sucks.
And all this lack of sleep due to kiddos talk makes me want to take a nap now to start saving up for in 6 months.
My weekend was good. Friday night I had some friends stay over. Saturday I took said friends and my H to 23 wineries at the Seneca Lake Deck the Halls wine festival. It was kind of torture not to get to drink any, but the food was good so I guess it was ok. The only sucky part was I was STILL nauseous and had a headache the next morning, just as if I was hungover. Blegh.
Sunday we got our Christmas tree and did the normal cleaning/grocery shopping.
Dude. You are such a good friend to take them to 23 wineries.

Haha, it's actually pretty amusing to be the only sober one amongst them. Usually when they get drunk, I get drunk, so it was interesting, to say the least.
Oh Liza does too.. she has a little shelf of toys in her playroom, and she'll push it out from the wall and go behind it to poop. And if I walk in the room while she's trying to do it, she yells, "go way mommy! go way!" Just get on the goddamned potty already!
