I believe you were the one who asked me to let you know how NROLFW is.  I did my first workout today.  It was really easy but I think it's because I've been lifting for 5 months now and have already built up muscle.

The first workout consisted of 5 exercises:  squats, push ups, seated row, step up, and jackknifes.  I've been doing some of these exercises already before today so I doubt I will be sore tomorrow.  Also, they only say to do 2 sets for now.  That is too easy for me but I stuck to it and increased weights.

I think if you lift already then starting out is really easy.  I hear that after the first few stages of workouts it gets tougher.  Not to say I didn't get a workout.  I definitely did and it felt great but I'm looking forward to doing more reps and tougher workouts.  Stage one seems to be perfect for beginners.  I would be sore if my muscles weren't already used to it.

  • awesome!! Thank you for the info. I might look into this for the new year! Do you have to be a part of a gym for this to work?

  • As far as I can tell, yes and no. You definitely need to have access to weights and a big ball. There may be ways to substitute a barbell for dumbbells but I don't know how with some of the exercises. Today I have lat pull downs...not sure how to do those with free weights so the gym comes in handy for that.
