Hello everyone! My husband and I are moving to the East Bay (Concord) immediately after Christmas, as if we needed more stress this time of the year, and we don't know anything really about what to do, where to eat, or any people out there either. Fill me in on what's up, please!

Sorry, I don't know much else about Concord. But welcome to the area and the board!

Actually Left Bank closed down a while ago and it's a new restaurant, called Jacks. Good food but long wait on a weekend night. Concord also has two BART stations which will give you and DH easy access into San Francisco if you want to visit there.

Hi and welcome! Where are you moving from? Where in Concord will you be living? It's a pretty big/spread out city! Are you working there too?
I used to live nearby and whenever we wanted to do something fun, we'd usually head to neighboring downtown Walnut Creek. Lots of restaurants, bars, a movie theater, great shopping, etc.
I haven't eaten in Concord in a while, but one place that I do remember from a few years back is Guadalajara Grill, near the intersection of Ygnacio Valley and Clayton Road.
I used to live near Concord - there is a lot to do in that area (Concord, Walnut Creek), particularly lots of shopping and restaurants. You'll be close to the Delta (via Martinez) also.
Welcome!!
i'm in sacramento, so i have no recs for you. but i did want to say:
Welcome!!
