Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Private Board?
SaraH (WITH AN H, CUZ H's are COOL) and I were talking and were thinking maybe it would be fun to try using a private message board that is password protected so other people can't read it. I feel like there's a lot of stuff I don't want to post here because it's so easy for people to read and find, especially Brandon. Creepy. What do you think?

No one will be left out, but lurkers will go through rigorous security tests to make sure they aren't crazy stalkers!
I actually really like that idea. As long as there is some way for people to contact the admin ( I would assume the board would have one) to be "let in" the club.
There have been a few things I'd want to post but haven't b/c of privacy issues (photos, names, etc).
This. I would post more often and openly if we had a "secure" board.

I think this is a great idea! I haven't posted many pics and other info either because of privacy stuff. In fact, that's why I removed myself from the May 2010 knotties on FB because I didn't want my FB friends aka, psycho wife of an ex who can see my profile through his, to see that and find me on this site. : )
I am so in! I'd also do a private FB group if the group title was a bit more confidential and sneaky.
Do you know how to set permissions and stuff on it? I made a FreeForums forum for us, and it looks like you CAN make it hidden from the public... but I haven't figured it out yet. Not that Ive tried that hard but still..
I don't know how to do anything that fancy. I just know how to post. But you can definitely make it hidden and make it so the mod has to approve everyone. I just don't know how to do it.
Agree! I would write alot more if it was private.
