Okay, I just read the budget post and my mind is blown. Can you imagine half of your take home pay just being pissed away? How can you have a line of credit when you've got $4k left over each month? That just seems ridiculous.
And yeah, the person who claims you should be spending no more than $200 per month on food (groceries and eating out once a week) is insane. I bet they're going to be one of those old people who dies a kazillionaire because they ate nothing but Top Ramen and cat food and never did anything or bought anything.

Cali, I am taking a thiss on your reply. 4k missing? Whaa? How does that happen? 4k missing a month, a $1600 rent payment, no savings... Jeebus. And she hangs out on MM? I hope she isn't dispensing financial advice.
I will write her up a budget and she can pay me $500 of that missing 4k a month. I think that sounds like a good deal.

I don't get how they spend $200/month at the pharmacy. They both would have company drug plans. He must have a prescription for medicinal pot.
No kidding. Even when we were shelling out monthly in the pharmacy for J's meds (and they were many and costly), it was more like 100/mo, which turned out to be stupid when we discovered how much cheaper they were through mail-order.
