Hi Montana! I am sorry for the delay! I have been SWAMPED with xmas orders! I am hoping to be all done with your pics within a week. I will get back to you with the web address.Happy Holidays! BIG kisses! -Kim
ummm...so holiday orders get special attention before my Oct wedding??? These freaking pics had better be worth the money we are spending. Kind of makes me feel like if we had been more of a pain in the ass we would have them by now but because we didn't pester every week she decided she didn't need to rush.

Yikes! That's rough. Did she set the expectation up front that it would take 2-3 months for her to prepare them?
I agree that you should include it on any reviews you do...just so other couples are prepared for how long it will take...

I should clarify that I am fine with the 6-8 weeks, my issue arose when she didn't get me the 3 pics for our thank-yous and holiday cards, after we had emailed each other about it. I am even fine with it taking until after new years. What I don't like is that I feel like we are getting put on the back burner.
I really just want to see something...anything really at this point. I am totally bummed that we didn't get to do thank-yous with our wedding photos on them but it is what it is I guess.
Oh, I didn't know the whole back story. I'd be pretty upset about not being prioritized over Christmas business too! That's crazy!

Man, that stinks. I'd write back and tell her that I'm disappointed that my request for just a few photos for holiday cards and thank-yous weren't a priority, even during her Christmas rush. Maybe she'll throw something extra in for you.
The "BIG kisses" thing kind of irked me too, as if that would make you feel better? I don't know, maybe you have that kind of relationship with her but that seems a little casual. "Like, hey, we're girlfriends, right? So I know you'll let it slide ..."
That said, her work is fantastic and I'm sure you'll be getting great stuff when you do get it!
So I think she does deserve an email stating your disappointment. At this point, I honestly think you deserve some print credits or something. I feel like there is something she can do to say sorry, but you need to make her aware you really deserve an apology - because you do.
I feel especially bad because our photographer went out of his way to hand deliver our discs to our house the week of Christmas, he knew how important it would be to have some wedding photos to show family over the holidays. I feel like your photographer easily could have done this (even with three effing photos!), but she didn't, and that's really sad. And from her response that you posted, it doesn't look like she really realizes the mistake that she made, putting your 3 photos of your silly little october wedding below a kid next to a tree.
If your wedding was in November, I might be a little more sympathetic, but she's had over 2 months. I usually try to defend wedding photographers, since I kind of know the industry a bit, but even a swamped wedding photographer can get through basic editing of your photos in less than 2 months (new photo programs can get through basic editing at light speed). What takes time is editing for special prints and albums, but even then she could have done something special with 3 damn photos in one afternoon.
Argh. Sorry so long, the more I kept thinking about it, the more upset I got, lol. I don't know, maybe she does have legitimate reasons for being so behind, but I don't think she is being very professional with you at all. Hopefully she takes some damn good photos
