what beauty routine of yours do you find to be annoying??

For me it is drying/straighting my hair.  I have super thick and wavy hair and I straightening it daily.  I wish I can have someone cover over daily to do my hair..

Re: what beauty routine of yours do you find to be annoying??

  • My hair. I also have to blow dry and then flat iron.  It sounds like it is the same as yours.  Lately I have been lazy and just putting some curl enhancer and leave in conditioner in it.  Putting it in a bun or a braid and then taking it down when dry.  It looks nice and beach waves that way.

  • Ditto blowdrying. For me to do a good blow out it takes 20-30 minutes and I just honestly don't have that kind of time to devote daily, or even every other day anymore (or really, I'm don't place blowdrying as a high enough priority to make it happen).  I wish my hair looked great without blowdrying Sad

  • My skin care. It's a constant battle because my skin changes every 6 months or so and freaks out. I seriously hate my skin.
  • Fixing my hair, shaving, and washing my face and going thru the zit prevention routine every night.

  • Washing my face at night. I am trying to make it a habit to do it every night but sometimes all I can work up the energy for is to brush my teeth.

    Me too.

  • Plucking my eyebrows.  Annoying!

  • Blowdrying. I don't mind straightening it... or even curling it with rollers. Drying takes FOREVER, it's boring, you can't multitask well, and I get so hot in the process!

  • Add me to the list of people who hate to blow out my hair.  In the summer I can get away w/ wearing it curly/wavy w/ the right product, but in the winter w/ the dry air I can't get it to look decent curly.  So I either have to blow it out or wear it in a pony tail.  It takes at least half and hour to blow it out.  I am trying to grow my hair longer, because as it gets longer the weight of the length makes it straighter overall.

  • Definitely shaving. ugh.

  • Ditto the blowdrying and straightening routine.  I HATE it!  I thought my life had changed when I had a Brazilian blowout done in July.  Then I heard all the news about it being potentially dangerous so I haven't done it since.  It's as if my miracle is in reach and I just can't do it.  Crying

  • I hate blow drying and straightening my hair also, but it has to be done or else my hair is a wild mess.  And shaving my legs is a pain.
  • Without a doubt, blow drying my curly hair straight. But a blowout lasts me 3 days so I guess it's not that bad. There is no way I would do it every day.

  • Washing my face!!! Such a simple thing to do, but I HATE it!!!

Mine used to be straightening my hair. It used to take me 2 hours to straighten my hair. I got the Sedu Revolution flat iron and now it only takes me 15, maybe 20 minutes to straighten my hair now. I have thick hair and a lot of it. The underneath of my hair is extremely curly. My hair is also longer than shoulder length.

If I blowdry my hair I used Altena Hemp straightening balm, it works really well on my hair. Blowdrying my hair is more of a pain than straightening my hair. I need a good blowdryer.

  • Shaving every single day.  I hate it.

Oh, I hear you! My skin routine takes forever and I have to do it am and pm or I'll pay for it. Ugh.

  • My nails.  These things grow like weeds.

I think I read somewhere that nails grow on average 2 inches a year.  Because it felt like my nails were growing at such a rapid pace, I decided to see how much they grew in two weeks.  After two weeks there was a quarter inch of growth.  So figuring there are 52 weeks in a year, my nails grow over 6 inches a year.  I feel like some freak that should be in the guinness book of world records or something.

Anyway, my gripe is that because they grow so fast I constantly have to file them down to avoid super long nails and I hate the way the nailfile feels...eesh.

  • I also don't like shaping my eyebrows.  I prefer paying someone to do it, but I don't have it done often enough to not have to do some on my own.

  • Blow drying my hair.  It takes a good 20 minutes.  I rarely even bother because I'd rather have more sleep.  I just dry the front, smooth it with a flat iron, then put it in a bun.

  • I paint my nails about 3 times a week.  I guess I'm pretty harsh on them because my polish always chips after a day or two.  If I don't repaint them, I end up breaking a nail.
  • Just about everything! I wish I could wake up looking naturally fabulous. Lol. If I had to choose, I'd say my most annoying routines are blowdrying my hair, shaving (my hair grows super fast - I sometimes need to shave my legs twice a day if I want them to be super smooth in the evening), and nail cutting (my nails are also ridiculously fast growing. Ugh). Funny that someone else mentioned nails above. I thought I was the only one with this odd physiological quirk.

  • Honestly? Nothing anymore!

Two years ago I would have said skin care and spackling the zits, but then I got on retin-A.

A year ago I would have said the contact lens routine, but then I had lasik.

Six months ago I would have said the blow dry/hair straightening routine, but then I got the Brazilian Blowout.

    I feel so liberated!!
