Yay! I can finally play in this post. As I said in my reply to Erin, I got sick at work today. It wasn't pretty. I felt sorry for the woman in the stall next to me who had to listen to that. And I didn't have mouthwash, toothpaste, gum or mints. I found something to eat instead. Hopefully that masked my nasty breath.
I'm really looking forward to the 2nd trimester when everything supposedly starts feeling better (before it gets worse again).
Oh and I'm still furious with my in-laws for their NYE stunt. See shyntrue's Happy New Year post for that drama.
I was wondering if they even apologized to you yet? I guess not though.

We decided to tell the IL's at week 13 after all, so Sunday I wore my skinny jeans and saved my daily caffeine for their house to hopefully avoid any speculation. It sort of worked we were given a hard time for not bringing the dog instead (they have a weird obsession with my dog).
We still have to figure out if Insurance covers a full integrated scan or not, I forgot to leave a message for the nurse at my OBGYN today and will have to do it tommorrow.
Oh and I just found out that I really should wait for my eye appointment until after the baby comes, this is unfortunate because my glasses are crazy glued right now.
*Dani* I am so angry and upset for you, I can NOT imagine how that must have ruined your night. Some people just suck and in that moment they sure did I don't care how excited they were it is your news to tell.

I'm doing good, stagnant but good. FIL bought me a pregnancy body pillow for Christmas, and I've been sleeping like a log ever since. I love it! And Dh is grateful for it also, haha. We have our anatomy scan on Thursday, I can't wait to see LO again and confirm, again, that we are having a little girl. (I still can't quite believe it!)
*Dani, I would be livid if my family, let alone the IL's, had spilled the beans. Especially after I had asked them not to. I wish my bat had it's own transporter, that occasion definitely calls for the bat!

Thanks ladies. StepFIL even prefaced the announcement by saying "I probably shouldn't say this but I'm going to anyway." MIL came up to me after the fact and I said "I'm pissed" and she said "but you're mad at [StepFIL] and not me, right? Because he made the announcement." Uh ok but you were standing right there enjoying every second of the attention you were getting. I wish there was a way to divorce in-laws.
I've got my 32 week mw appointment tomorrow and I feel like I am eating everything! Even though I know I am not. OUr food bill has gone up and I still feel like the pantry and fridge are empty.
We both agreed on a boys & a girls name, so that is a step for us!
Dani-I would have probably gotten up and left right then and there. OMG how awful. I'm with Rebek, let them find out the gender via FB!

Dani, I can't believe how selfish your in-laws are. I would have cried too, that was your special news and they had no right to decide to share it to 150 people. I would have to wait a really long time before speaking to them again.
I'm feeling good, although I had insomnia last night and have been awake since 2:45am. I figured the baby is just getting me ready for being up all night with him.
Here is my 26 week pic from yesterday, at my appointment on Dec. 19th I had gained 19 lbs. So I'm sure I'm well over 20 by now!
And we are now in double digits until my due date, yippee!!!
Oh trust me I wanted to leave but I was DD for 5 other people that night and couldn't.

Thanks! But if you want to know the truth, that was about the 8th picture I took. I kept taking them until I found a good angle!
Dani-that really effing sucks. I am so sorry they ruined your special news. I'd be furious as well.
Erin, you are too cute.
Me? I am a miserable ***. I keep snapping at DH and mom for no reason. I feel awful. But I am just so tired and cranky and just want to hold my son so badly I could cry. I am 39 weeks today, am slacking on a taking a pic and mom and I need to start making stew soon. We'll freeze half. Been cooking and freezing a lot since she arrived here on Christmas Eve. I want a good stock up of meals so I dont have to worry about dinner for awhile after baby G is here.
Sorry you are feeling so awful! Freezing meals is about the most brilliant thing I've ever heard. We will definitely be doing that too when the time comes of course =p

Dani - how terrible of them! I want to divorce my FIL and StepMIL too, FIL didn't even acknowledge we said anything to him; it was as if I said, "I'm going to the bathroom, be right back" yours is definitely worse, but your not alone in the crappy FIL boat.
I have felt really good, I haven't puked once, hardly any bloat, and I can still button my jeans with no spillage, I've only gained 2 lbs so far, but am down about 8lbs from my pre-preg weight (I attribute it to no booze). I got to hear the heartbeat again yesterday; 148, down from 169 2 weeks earlier, but the doc said it was fine.
We have our amnio on Monday and we have genetic counseling on Friday. I had a mental breakdown last Thursday about this whole testing thing and wish I never would have even done the NT scan, last week was one of the worst weeks of my life (not being dramatic, it was).

Dani - OMG I would have been furious! Well, now they don't get to know any inside information (name, sex, etc.) And if they want to know why... it's b/c they can't keep their damn mouths shut.
LC (what we call the baby) and I are good
We passed our glucose test last week. Woo hoo! I was kind of worried about the drink (I've had a colonoscopy and other procedures that force you to drink @ss in a glass) but it wasn't bad at all. I had the fruit punch and it seriously tasted like Hawaiian punch from when I was a kid! And at my last growth u/s LC was estimated at 2 lbs 9oz. Crazy to think she'll double that in the coming weeks 
Darren, my mom, and I are going to work on the nursery this weekend
I can't wait!
I'm feeling great so far. 2nd tri and the early part of the 3rd tri have been really kind to me I think. I still sleep for the entire night, and other than moving around kind of slow and some indigestion issues from her pressing on my stomach, I have no real complaints.
