Hello ! My husband and I purchased a new home and I would like to switch the light bulbs to LED's. This is because I am uncomfortable with the mercury in CFL bulbs. If you have this type of light bulb in your home how do you like them ? What are the pro's and con's ? Thanks for your input
Re: LED Light Bulbs
I don't like the mercury in CFLs either, but we did those a few years ago because there weren't any indoor LEDs on the market. Are they out now? I only see LED christmas lights.
Yes, you can find LED light bulbs at home improvements stores such as Lowe's and Home Depot. They are considerably more expensive than CFL's which is why I was looking for opnions before I purchase some. Thanks for your response
I haven't seen any actual LED light bulbs that will go into conventional/standard lamps and light fixtures- I have only seen light fixtures that have LEDs. I want to add some under counter lighting and Ikea has several LED options.
Also we have a pony wall (it doesn't go to the ceiling) which is also the top of our pantry and fridge and I want to put LED rope lighting up there- I bought it but need to have some wiring done. I bought warm white and it looks normal on vs. the blue white that a lot of LED white lights are.
