When I read your post, I hopped in my Delorean and repainted the walls, which is why you had to look again. It actually is exactly a really soft, pale yellow. It was a disney color. I'm pretty sure it was called Tigger's Tummy.

Im excited for you guys- you're so prepared! will the baby sleep in there from the start? have you thought about co-sleeping? (not to be pushy...but I think this is the reason I slept so well in the beginning...It wasn't a hard habit to break either, and niether of them sleep in my bed now-ever.)

I don't think we're going to cosleep but we'll have her in our bedroom in a pack 'n play for the first however many weeks. Does that count as cosleeping?
We have a queen sized bed and Jimmy and I battle in our sleep for territory as it is, and he's a blanket hog, so I don't think a baby would fare very well without germ technology.

I learned from AP that men can't properly co-sleep. They lack the magical mothering spidey-sense to know where the baby is in the bed and they just go around rolling all over babies all of the time like so many steamrollers.
This is true. And ordinarily we would just kidnap a bunch of mothers and hook them up to a big machine that would suck out their essence, and then we would drink it and be imbibed (imbibed?) with their magical momjuice powers. But some asswipe gelfling broke my essence sucking machine. I hate those guys.

can i recommend a hot waterbottle wrapped in a thermal blankie? I found that Wyatt would only nap in the beginning with me or that smooshed next to him.
it was a sanity saver.
you may get one of those easy sleepin' babies, though...I had one of those, too. sooooo easy.
do you have a bouncy seat? that was invaluable- they both actually slept in it at one point...they;re cheap and light and way portable (throughout the house) get a vibrating one. you wont be sorry.
I know the bjorn is frowned upon by professional mothers who love their kids...but in those early days when they're tiny- I
LOVED mine. especially in like..target or someplace. or while vacuuming. It was coomfortable, and you can kiss their heads the whole time.
Awww, I love all the little details especially the outlet covers and knobs. I was at work when I first saw it and wanted to sign in to say "I love your knobs" and ask if you've ever gotten this many compliments on your knob in one day but if big brother is watching, I'd hate to have to explain that at the next board meeting.
Jens did an awesome job on the wall decor. The first one made me a little teary and the last one would've if I hadn't heard it before.
