  My DH is the same way.  He'll say "I don't care how much it was, you don't have to tell me how much $$ you spent, etc." and I'm always like "I have to tell you b/c I got such a great deal!!" lol

  Well, dang, I missed all the fun while I was at my convention.

  But, I had fun there. 

  My confession: I've decided to get off my high horse and being pissed that H will always make multiple times what I do, and just let him buy me stuff. I'm giving up the fight. Today, I let him buy me a new iPhone case. And lunch. Baby steps.

  And no, we don't combine our money blah blah blah. We have our reasons, I know some people probably disagree but everyone has to do what works for them.

  I thought of something even though it's Saturday now. I don't think showers for a 2nd baby are tacky (and I'm not just saying that because I'm pregnant with #2 ). Most everyone I know has one thrown for #2. I never heard people talk about it being tacky or inappropriate until the nest/bump.

  I agree--the nest/bump is the first place I heard about it being tacky. I've been to several showers for baby #2 and never really thought anything about it. I would give the side eye if the mom registered at 5 different places or hosted her own shower or something, but otherwise I don't see the big deal.

  I don't think they're tacky if they aren't expected by the mother. YKWIM? I have been to alot of second and even third showers. Most of the time they are showers after the baby is born but not extremely tacky IMO.
