My doctor says that I will more than likely have Pitocin, because my cervix is ripe(dont know what that means), she also said the likely hood of a csection are very slim, since I am already dilating with no problems. My baby measured last week @ 5lbs 4oz, so the dr estimates her to be about 7 1/2 at delivery, however thats not really big, but because of my GD they cant chance it, thats why I will be induced @ 38 weeks. Now as far as the size you think your baby would be, OMG I could not even imagine, but the medicine you are talking about is Cervadil, thats what they use, to help the cervix open and ripen(which I heard hurts like HELL, worse than the pitocin).

Oh no! I thought it would be better! :( I guess I just have to wait and see how things progress...

Are you trying to freak me out!? Didn't you read that I am getting Cervidil tomorrow night!?  :) I didn't hear it hurt though, I am going to look that up!! I heard the Pitocin was worse because your contractions can come on really slow or really fast. I guess everyone has a different experience, but I am definitely going to do a little research!

Sorry, I wasn't trying to scare you. You will be ok. I have to get Pitocin, and who knows, my labor could end up worse than yours, everyone's body reacts different to each medication. Stop

Blossom - I am so over the moon excited for you! I can't wait to see what these two cuties look like.

I hate how much that I am swelling. I thought women swelled while pregnant from being on their feet too much, which I am definitely not. I hate sleeping without my socks on and if I keep them on, I wake up with dark red rings around my ankles from how much my feet have swollen. Did I mention that my toes look like Lil Smokies? lol.

On Friday I got a Medela  Freestyle breast pump at Target for $94!!! Its normally priced at $379.99. I am so happy that I don't have to rent one from the hospital now.

Other than that, there's not much new to update.... I am getting pretty close to finishing the nursery but I am having a hard time deciding what to put on the walls.

Sorry about the sausage toes!! Can you wear regular shoes still??

Even my tennis shoes are cutting into my feet. I don't know what I will do if it gets any worse. lol.... Flip flops in 50 degree weather?

Lol...don't judge. Last Tuesday I wore a cute flowy dress and pretty cardigan to the Straz Center with flip flops. I have been wearing them for a couple of weeks. I did buy a few pairs of very comfy flats in a size up a couple months ago, but I grew out of them!

hahaha. I am sure there is not one person who would judge a pregnant woman wearing flip flops ;) The flats I wore to your baby shower were bought b/c they were comfy, but even they are starting to fit pretty snug now. Maybe the freezing temps will keep the swelling down? ...... we can hope, right? lol

LOL you girls crack me up!!  My feet got soooo bad too!  At least you live in Florida!  Wearing flip flops in the middle of a Chicago winter was not fun!  haha

I hope your feet go back to normal!  I still cannot fit into quite a few of my shoes.  I remember my mom telling me years and years ago how her feet changed sizes after she had kids.  I thought she was full of sh!t.... now I believe her!  I think all the extra weight you carry around lengthens your feet!!!

  • My feet aren't swollen, but I wear flip flops all the time out of laziness.  It's really hard to put my tennis shoes, or even my dressy boots on because my belly is in the way.  Flip flops are just so much easier!  I couldn't tell you the last time I wore real shoes.

I was induced also. Usually if they give you Cervidil at night, they also give you Ambien to sleep through the night. If you dont start contracting regularly  you get Pitocin about 6am.

I was in no pain with Cervidil...pitocin...hold on for the ride! It is soooooo worth it though! Can't wait for you to meet your LO

  • There are so many of you all who are so close to the end... can't wait to see all the new babies.

It depends on the day if I "feel" pregnant. I haven't really had m/s which worries me some days. I have an appointment on 2/1 to do a true EDD calculation off the baby measurements and we should be able to hear the HB then as well. DH and I are excited.

Hearing the heartbeat was soooo amazing!!  I wouldn't worry about not having morning sickness - I know a ton of people who didn't.  I on the other hand was sooo sick.  So just enjoy the fact that you're not suffering with it!

What is it that they say..... "Don't count your eggs before they hatch"? lol. I didn't have m/s at 10wks either and then it hit me like a ton of bricks. I got it so bad that I was admitted to the hospital with a condition called Hyperemesis (something that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy). Luckily, for me it went away a little into my 2nd tri.

I didn't have any m/s at all and it freaked me out. I thought something was wrong, lol! I would get a little nauseous and then eat some crackers and I'd be fine. One day I woke up and the room was spinning, but that was all of that I had. I am so thankful I wasn't sick!

  • Holy freaking cramping today!  I've been really crampy off and on the last couple of days.  But today is awful.  It's been non-stop since I got up.  My midwife said not to worry about it yesterday, as long as I didn't start to have more intense or consistent contractions.  I just can't imagine feeling this way until I give birth!

I had some moderate cramping for about 3 hours at work last night. It was crazy!
